Can that UPS inverter be used strictly with solar off-grid applications ? Did you test the pure sine wave output ? Thanks, great video !

Your video is good, thorough and explains a lot. But, As a business owner, wanting to get this done properly, have all my buildings act like one network, so all my video cameras worked, plug and play, and I could send data everywhere, I went to RadioLabs , purchased their Zip Bridge dual band, with routers, and the entire thing was Plug and play. Kit included my routers for inside my remote buildings, which provided excellent coverage in my 5000 and 8000 sq ft buildings the full dual band bridge, plus, I have WiFi all over the outside of my property and complete coverage. I mounted them on poles I had, and their bridge, was labeled and complete plug and play. I did not have to go through half of what you showed here. But, their bridges are like 2 times the size of what you show. Their entire kit price, was less than the mobile company wanted to even come look at our installation. After installing on our business, I then used their other bridges on my home, where I failed to get WiFi to my shop with substantial trees. Working on Government projects, we cannot use TP Link at all. They are on our banned hardware list as well as a couple of other brands. We cannot use anything made in China when dealing with government projects. I'm sure my comment won't be seen so it won't matter, but I can provide links and the entire project cost. The local IT company, wanted $2,500 just to come out and design my wireless. The RadioLabs complete dual band bridge, cost much less than they even wanted for consulting. I'd just recommend going to them, if you're in a hurry and want it done properly.

Awesome video, the most comprehensive video about Halow Wi-Fi extenders ON THE PLANET. I am wondering where did you get the "command line tools", I bought a different maker of the extenders with the antennas and their download of those tools HAVE A VIRUS in them! I went to the company page of yours but I don't see any download for it :(

Hey I was just asking is there a way to configure this mikrotik sxtsq to work as an access point. 'Cause I have a mimo antenna( I want to connect this to the router) and I want to distribute Wi-Fi Internet over a long distance. I want to know how this works and where the multiple users can connect to the Wi-Fi through it

It's =/ that its only real use is as a bridge. I wish this were a sub-part of the common specs (G/N/ac etc). That way you could have a way to extend your phones wifi when out walking a large rural property. The bandwidth is low enough you wouldnt want to be on it for web browsing or video streaming but for voip calls or music streaming it would be good.

your videos really attract me! Then I visit your channel and watch your videos. Your videos are very amazing and helpful. You are making videos with a good niche. But, I noticed a few areas where I could help optimize your videos to reach a larger audience. Would you be open to discussing this further?

All this needed was one of those 3-port 10/100 ethernet switch ICs on the PCB to connect the two chips and socket. It's such a fumble I'm kinda stunned. Thanks for informing me so I can never buy this LOL.

Great video. But I wouldn't want large lithium batteries in my home. The electrolyte provides oxygenation for a fire, so the fire hazard, though unlikely, is extreme in consequence.

I believe this should be integrated into the WiFi standard as a quad band radio setup.. use the 900mhz as the upload frequency and 2.4/5 as the download. The AP/client device signal ratio could be greatly extended this way. Sort of like how cell tower works. 2ghz downlink / 900 mhz uplink. Thanks for the information!

Hello Ben I am sure we know each other Im guessing it was during the maple syrup fest you know the one im sure right there between PEI and Vancouver island not to far from Toronto. If I remember you apologized when the moose I was riding hit your car at the Tim Hortens and later we became good friends while drinking strong beer called Canadian and eating French fry's with cheese and gravy. Thank you for helping me know what Canada to pick I was afraid that Canada 2 might be French and im not in government or live in "That Province" ....................anyway i am rely liking your videos and I even added myself as a subscriber. I am in no way an expert on you tube but did make and post a bunch of videos a number of years ago and even got a few checks from google until they made some big changes in there algorithm and around the same time some health troubles started to catch up with me and the little break I told myself I would take has gotten a little long at 7 years now. I do see just from a quick glance that you could likely take the utube thing as far as you would like your presentation editing and topics are in line with what seems to work on utube. The fact that I was recommended one of your videos not having looked into anything related to internet or WiFi in many years you have a good amount of comments on some of your video most important I think are like the one guy who basically said you were wrong and went off on a bunch of crap about cable termination made me wonder if he watched the same video I did I am sure the video was called Bridging on a Budget: Cheaply extending WiFi to another building not "a hour long detailed guide to terminating out door cable for professional installers who care about every little detail" . The comments like his I would recommend skipping the Canadian apology and either letting someone like me explain why he is dumb or use a different account although I think it is a good idea to "fess up" to bigger mistakes or missed info. I noticed another comment about spacing out video release and you should defiantly double check me but I understood that the all mighty utube algorithm prefers regularity over all. So every day at 3pm or once a month the 15th at noon or 7am every Sunday what ever it is if you could have a video ready to release or scheduled to at a regular time and interval then the all mighty will take you more serous and push your videos to even more people. I also think it might be a benefit as a creator like the 5 video series you put out a month ago could have been released at one a month giving you 5 months to come up with the next video or bunch of videos. In reality you could probably shoot a bunch of footage on a long weekend every 6 months and then edit over time or something to have a base line of videos coming out once a month to build up your channel and if you got into the actual getting payed status then you could justify a number of options hiring out editing reducing other work and so on. there is a surprising number of Canadian utube creators who are real good and do well some i watched for years before I figured out they were Canadian but you can be sure I always feel that quiet sense of Canadian pride when I see them do well

I would say for Inner city areas this is WAY better than 5G cell which is basically strap a mini tower to every city block corner.( At that point just use 5Ghz routers)

When you want connect ip cameras over some meter/kilometers, is stable use ptp wifi antennas like mikrotik sxt, or nanostation loco m5/m2, is good for many cases ... ( for short distance to 1-4km they can achieve even more ), for long distance use someone better, or you can use singlemode optic fiber, with for example hex s routerboards. Or optic with converter to metalic, but you will still need router or switch on both site so .... :D.

Wow, the faster speeds of 900mhz mimo that nobody seems to have implemented would be awesome for those P2P semi-obstructed paths that 5.8ghz can’t quite establish link on ! 15mbps just isn’t quite there for good daily use, other than a “no other option” scenario. Thx for testing.

Your presentation style is clear and easy to follow, but some of the information you're presenting is not correct or even safe. You don't ever want to crimp RJ45 plugs onto bulk solid conductor cable. Instead, you should use field termination plugs or punchdown jack and weather rated biscuit box with manufactured UV rated patch cables. Also, you made zero mention of installing lightning arresters and how to properly bond them to ground.
@BestSpatula6 ай бұрын
if you own the land between your two endpoints, why not just run direct burial fiber? It's faster, more secure, more reliable, and likely about the same cost.

Great video but I think you missed one of the most important points - if you're installing any of these equipment outdoors, even if it's under a partial shelter (roof overhangs etc), do install an in-line Ethernet surge protector to protect the equipment behind it. e.g. router/ switch/ PoE injector etc. I've seen an install in a customer's site back in my old workplace where they had to replace the surge protector 2 to 3 times a year because of lightning activity despite the fact that the extender was installed under an overhang and the building (small concrete shed) had a properly installed lightning rod. The surge protectors did protect the rest of the equipment (enterprise switches, routers, and ISP CPEs) behind it though, so that saved a lot of potential lost time and effort to replace these.
