Beatiful. What you accomplished with an inexpensive lens and camera is impressive.

Hi, amazing video, colors and efit. Can you kindly share a bit about your HLG2 settings and color grading process? Did you use any luts, or it's straight out of the camera settings? Thanks in advance.
@alexvilku9892 жыл бұрын
Thanks 👍... Listen, i would stay away from HLG2. It's a mess of a profile. Colors all over the place, too toxic. Skin tones are very bad . Slog3 would be my choice.

I really liked the video. Despite the fact that many people, in the absence of normal actors and plot, are forced to shoot simple scenes (and they are very fond of low shots near the ground, for some reason, thinking that this adds "cinematic", although in reality it only emphasizes their amateurishness) , here the author managed to shoot a nice mini-plot and at least brought it under the plot of the absence of people. And I also liked the color grading, because there is naturalness and quality. Most hobbyists make the color correction too obvious and typically garish. Here, it's almost like in the movies! Although I must say that the bokeh of the lens is quite harsh. Try to shoot on Minolta next time. Minolta's colors and bokeh are much better. "creamy-like" :)

I think they shot lower because of the stature of the actor. I could be wrong though.Could be a stand in for Alan Ladd

Hi Alex! Thank you so much for all the lovely content you have created. I have seen several of your videos today and totally love them. You should create more and you deserve thousands of subscribers. I was wondering about a thing. It looks like you guys are located in Ireland, but your children sound almost American. That is so fascinating 😃 Have you guys been living in the states? Anyway, keep up the good work 😊👍🏼

Nice sharpness! but the skin colours is not that great, maybe it´s difficult to adjust in postpro with that colour profile..
@alexvilku9893 жыл бұрын
It's mostly lack of experience
@julenfilmmaker2 жыл бұрын
Skin tones are OK since all shots are token with mixed coloured artificial lights. If you are lighting with a red ligth skin looks red. There is not problem with picture profile.

Very beautiful clip, great work. I just bought the sigma 17-50 and it is really noisy. How do you deal with it for something cinematic and with sound?, short films, documentary, etc.
@alexvilku9893 жыл бұрын
Camera is noisy not the lense. Just try to keep your ISO as low as possible. Indoors keep your scene lit. To make it cinematic you have to learn the lighting first.

@HiddenOaksMedia3 жыл бұрын
Ive watched this like 10 times. Do you struggle with 8 bit in post? It came out perfectly. I see a lot of people using HLG instead of Slog these days because of where your ISO starts. Im assuming you used an ND filter or something. Its all exposed perfectly
@alexvilku9893 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching 😁 Well... Me personally i don't have a problem with 8 bit. I never push colours to extreme. About HLG... From day one i was using HLG3. It's fine and all but it never looked natural to me. Specialy skin tones. But for bright day there's nothing better than SLOG3. That dynamic range is amazing. And 8bit is rubbish with 1080p with this particular camera. This video I've shot in 4k 25fps so there's no problems with grading...
