You're welcome. I paid £2000 in 1990 and it was stolen in 1994 - the days before electronic immobilisers and trackers. Since then I've had cars galore - M5s, M3s, Subaru Imprezas, 930 and 993 Turbos, but the car I really, REALLY miss, the car that stole my heart like the girl that stole my virginity, is the shitty old rust-bucket; my old Alfa…. and I would sell a kidney or trade my first born child to get another one.

@@alexvilku989 .5 of a second before the camera moves behind something? Not one decent look at the whole car. Every shot is a close up detail . Fancy camera and editing is great but you need to mix it with some wide shots even just with the camera locked off otherwise its too distracting. Car guys are your audience .

Never understood how cutting back the clear coat using emery paper was a wise thing to do? I know it's common practice & I know the buffer shines it back up really good, but surely you're then going around with much less, or no, clear coat on the car & well....is that desirable, especially on a red car!?

This particular car was fully resprayed by other garage. And the finish wasn't up to our standards. The ORANGE PEAL was very bad. That is the only time we would sand the clear coat.

Hi Alex, I hear what you're saying and yes, I understand - if there's orange peel then flatting down might help with that. The question I was asking however was concerning bodywork guys that flat down lacquer even when there isn't orange peel.....! Also would you not flat down, wash clean, let dry and then re-apply a couple of coats of lacquer if you had the means?

@@TomTremayne It's all up to the customer... Usually they don't want to go all the way. With my own cars i all ways apply extra coat that I can sand it down.
