If you use a splitter for your side scan will you loose the ability of the Down Imaging from those transducers. One of my transducers is a DI/SI and the other is just a SI

How do you make a track or route on the one boat app. I need to make and record my tracks on the ice, and there is nowhere that I can start making a track. Unless I’m missing things, let me know.

Smallmouth C&R while spawning have a high mortality rate because they're already basically starving and exhausted from nest guarding. So the additional stress may shock their system too much. If the population is already strong and healthy then it might not be harmful, since other smallies will be competing for the same resources anyway. So it depends on the location, what the local management advises.

Great video! I learned a lot from this video. I do have a question though, around the 6:58 minute mark you describe the shape of the Down Imaging cone. I take it that this cone is perpendicular to the boat? I assume so because of the way it draws it while you are puttering around. Time being on the "x" axis and the depth on the "y" axis. That being said, how wide is the angle of its cone? By looking at the image you shared it appears to some depth to it. I am not referring to the vertical axis, as in the depth of the water column, but as in a "depth of field" or in the "z" axis. I just finished updating my Apex and Solix to the latest v5.060. I am having difficulty finding the location of the settings that I had grown accustomed to. Simple things like that boat icon on the Mega Live screen, the shallow water color for the minimum depth, etc. I can't find the Operators Manual online, as of tonight, but I plan to call Tech Support tomorrow. I guess what I am getting around to is, would you please consider doing a video on this subject?

What I could use more of is instruction on how to actually fish for the fish I see on the screen. Most importantly where they are in relation to me and the boat. I have a general idea but I'm never sure I'm actually casting to the fish and instead just throwing bait into unpopulated areas. I think what I'm looking for is 'orientation' of fish/boat/sonar. Make sense?

Hi. I am analizando the book of the model helix 9 but it's not easy and as you know this I have some question. 1. What is the Watt power of the transducer of the helix 9 model ? 2. What is the maximum depth you can search the bottom with this unit in salt water ?

I started with a Lowrance Flasher, back in the 60"s, and since then had 15 other graphs in my fishing life. I've learned a lot of tricks in my lifetime. I should be doing a video, but don't have time. I fish year round. I've been cracking the code on side imaging for the last year. When I get tired of news channel bs, I enjoy listening to other people who are addicted to fishing, like me. There's no better way to learn than time on the water. I bought my Helix 9 GN 4 a year ago, it has 915 hours on it of fishing time. I really like it.

Currently I'm using a Helix-10 and Mega Live, but if I add another Helix unit and dedicate it to the Mega Live only, will this second dedicated unit improve the Mega Live views in finding fish and my lure? Thank you, much appreciated.

is there ever a reason to set your physical transducer angle different from your forward mode angle? For instance, your physical transducer set at 50 degrees and your forward mode angle set at 60 degrees?
@TheTechnologicalAngler2 ай бұрын
Yes - that difference can correct for the transducer getting some “extra tilt” from not sitting in the water square and plumb.

What baits provide the best return for deep water? I can't find my lure trying to jig Kokanee in 80-100 feet
@johnhrzn15014 ай бұрын
I found the bigger the profile, the better the return. Example, a Large lure on a umbrella rig, shows a lot better then a nickle size lure.
