Oh my gosh. This video is the best one regarding my Mega Live transducer ever, I have only used forward range so far. This video opens whole new dimensions regarding the landscape and down view utilization. This video is well edited and I'm so happy that I have been a subscriber of your channel from the get go. Thank you Jason. Ron Knight, Texas

Relatively new to Mega Live and have only been trying to learn forward facing, but after your video I am anxious to get acquainted with Mega Landscape mode as I fish mostly shallow this time of year. Your videos are very informative, and I learned a ton from just this one video. Thank you for sharing.

This is EXACTLY what I have been looking for!!!!!!!!!!!!! The DI in wide mode, that show the lure, and the fish hitting it. Hopefully with the transducer on the TM at a 90 degree angle will give me this. I really dont want the transducer on the bracket, off the side of the boat. Would spot lock help out too? to keep the transducer from zig zagging with the TM? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You do a great job on your videos, keep up the good work. Question for you...I've just setup a new Helix 10 MSI+ GPS G4N, a new Terrova with MDI and I pilot link and a new Mega Live unit. So, do I need the 5 port internet switch to link them all together? Thank you.
@TheTechnologicalAngler Жыл бұрын
The short answer is yes - to connect the link, helix graph, and live together you will need a 5-port switch.
@billvarady109111 ай бұрын
Yes and you will probably need a splitter to hook into the terrova and to your 5 port box. I have this setup..
@jimordway92878 ай бұрын
Make sure you can power off the unit from the battery source as the the 5 port will always being drawing some power unless totally powered off

Great video, I have all Hummingbird products on my boat, and I am a multi species angler. I fish for Salmon on Lake Ontario for about 10 weeks a year and use downriggers. I was going to purchase a stand alone Garmin Echomap unit with a Panoptix transducer so I can see the downrigger balls as well as my lines while fishing salmon. Will Mega Live in down mode or forward mode enable me to do this? I usually don’t fish greater than 100 Feet deep. Thanks in advance for the information.

I don’t have any personal experience with this application, but I can’t imagine why MEGA Live wouldn’t work for seeing the cannonballs

If anyone know how to do this I am also interested in doing this. What mode and setting. @@TheTechnologicalAngler

I use my MegaLive forward to watch my down rods while trolling for walleyes. I can see both my front and rear rods w bottom bouncers and harnesses on one side of the boat in up to 40' of water. Not sure about up to 100' down...pretty fun and amazing to see how many just follow along. Neat to see em react to changes like picking em up or dropping em back. L Many times it triggers a strike...sometimes, they just bolt, though, too! Just fish being fish, I guess!

There is a guy that uses Landscape Mode trolling Striper. Seems to work great in deeper water than 12'. I have tried a few times using Landscape with little success.

OMG soooo good. A couple questions. *** Do you have a video with your settings? ***Can I troll with Mega Live in 20-30' at 1.5-2.5 SOG ?? ***Should I get a battery for my garage to practice and how would I do this? ***Last year I purchased my Mega Live and could not get it set. I called Hummingbird and they said updating software would make a huge difference. Well it froze up and I had to send it in. Should I wait until the end of the season to install any new updates that might come out. My ML and Helix 9's were updated in fall of last year... Thanks a bunch.

What Brand mounts (pole) you using for the mega live?
@TheTechnologicalAngler Жыл бұрын
We use the live sonar pole system from TKICNC.com. I’ve tried them all and Tom’s system is the best, in my opinion. Check them out at tkicnc.com/product/tki-cnc-live-transducer-kit/ and use promo code TECHANGLER23 for free shipping to your door.
