I bought a copy of this expansion for 2.99 and believe that I am missing some pieces. I have all the pieces listed on the rulebook but I have empty spaces for everything below the glass containers like in your video. Does the game not include the petri dishes? or how do you fill up the empty bottom half of the box?

Question. Had a argument last night and I may be wrong but maybe you can see my reasoning. Played hunters dream, player did one dmg to me. Hunters dream says take half dmg (round down) since 0 is a value on the dice does 1 dmg round down to zero? That one dmg was going to kill me but since you can roll a 0 on the dice I figured 0 is a value we round down to. I was saying it rounds down to zero, they were saying I'm just saying that so I don't die but I felt like thats how it worked. Have any idea?

Great explanation. This is the American version which was adapted from the version 2 of the game. You can tell it's a later version because the swastika symbol has been replaced with an eagle. The classic rules are online and I recommend you use them. They don't have the escape markers and some versions don't use 'do or die' cards. Why do I know this? Only because whilst at the recycling dump this week I spotted a guy throwing away boxes and boxes of this game. I'd loved it as a kid and I knew one of the guys who created the BBV TV series in the 70s Anyway, these games had belonged to a writer called Michael Booker who had also been involved - along with Pat Reid - in developing the game. The haul I rescued contained prototype type games and unopened versions of V1 & V2. Back then they were made by Gibson Games and then Parker.

When leaving the red zone a piece can move into any of the FIVE spaces that are one space away orthogonally or diagonally.

I bought the game recently. We wanted to try it out in a group and I was too tired to read and understand the instruction. Thank You for explaining, it helps a lot in a busy time, and it's easier to focus on a short video than a written world.

I love Scythe and enjoyed hearing some of your back story into its creation. The art is amazing. I love that the setups are so random for every time the game is played. I highly recommend this game! My own contribution is that I am usually so caught in my own strategy that I forget to watch the other players. Things move quickly and often unexpectedly. I like that dice are not used and that the combat sequences do not dominate the game.

very good video that helped me a lot, i feel i understand everything now except for one thing................are plot cards really restricted cards that land you in jail? that seems odd as i think it would almost ensure that you could rarely if ever win the game due to the amount of gestapo raids in the game and i\ll look again but i didn't see anything on first read of the rules that says plot cards are restricted. I'm ready to play my first game with friends and really need this cleared up, thanking you in advance.

the fact that u guys know which card your teammate is going to discard, makes the game MUCH easier, which doesnt give me the satisfaction i need. we just dont discard our newest card, but out of the others with discard with either information or random. this way u are always worried what your teammate in going to discard.

Good video, congrats! I have doubts about the 1 below the deck, could you explain me better? whats happens if I draw it on the left side (free card) and what would happen if I draw on the right side?

Thanks for the video. Mmm.. You signed out with: "If you like games or don't like games let us know" - And that's ironic considering the fact that you didn't share what are your thoughts of this game... Nevertheless, you may do so know :) Did you like it? did you hate it? did you even care about it? How does its replay value and longevity?

As a totally new player ... I could not find anything specific in the rules concerning multiple top or bottom row actions on a single turn. I may have missed it, but the rules did not explicitly state that only one top and bottom action per turn are permitted if willing and able to pay the price.

So what's the rule if a player makes an illegal move due to an addition error? Like, for example, at 2:20, when he rolls 2/3/4/5 and turns it into a 6 + 7.

So what’s the reason for left and right placed fight cards???
@The_Morning_Brew
@The_Morning_Brew Жыл бұрын
Left side is for the free cards. Right side is for the additional cards. The cards that are considered additional are ones you spend your health points in or you use the special ability +1 and +2 cards.

Thanks for your video, even though it's been 6 years or more ago. I especially appreciated your going through how to score the rooms. It's sort of tricky in the rules about scoring both rooms' center icons along with the difference between being connected and adjacent. I have the new Collectors Edition Colossal but have been slowly wading through the not-always-clear brand new rulebook. They should've shown some examples of play to help out(!), like your video shows. Thanks again for a nice and easy but thorough explanation of the game 😊

Is there anything similar but instead of competing within eachother for the most honor we came up togheter to win against the foes or a parti ular dungeon? So, something more cooperative... I've seen hogwards battle, something like that but more rpg maybe?
