Very fun and complete video! After 1 year with them, has the issue with the left earbud has been solved?

It seems to have improved via software updates. The ANC got slightly better as well. I'd now say they about tie the Airpods Pro 2 for ANC performance.

@@leatijoseph828 They are stellar. About the best all rounder sub you can imagine, and I’ve heard most of what’s out there. These can actually reproduce a touch of base frequencies with deep voices especially when an effect is used like “The Voice” from Dune and do so with detail. It’s nuts.

@jeffreydanowitz30835 ай бұрын
Nice review. I have the product for almost 2 months. I made 2 profiles and they are different. Just 2 comments - the first is that I heard a KZbin video that said that it's best to do the self calibration with white (maybe another color) noise in the background so that nothing influences the background. I found this to be very helpful. The second is that after seeing my profiles there are 2 basic colors - pinkish and blueish. What do these colors represent? In my initial calibration, I was really round and pink as if I am getting all the frequencies but I'm not sure whether this is true or not. By the way just as a side point, after a month of use, the right earbud had a fit and stopped working and then a week later came back to life and is still working. We think it may have been caused by the wireless charging and it took the right earphone time to return to itself. If others have had this issue it would be interesting to bring it up. Denon is not the most responsive in dealing with issues :) I will say that then they work (most of the time except for those 7 days) the earphones are phenomenal - the best buds I have ever heard by a far margin. I'd say that they are better then many of my (even quite expensive) over ear earphones. So this is a major accomplishment .
@lukerestlessstudiosСағат бұрын
Thank you! They can be a bit temperamental I've observed., but they are still about the best I've heard of their kind yet. I also have no idea what the colors mean. Honestly I wonder if it really means little to nothing and is just all for visual effect.

Great video. I wonder what speakers (and number of speakers) would you recommend to go with the Altitude 16? Also, do I need the Amplitude as well?
@lukerestlessstudios7 ай бұрын
Provided you have the space, and a room that’s proportioned well for theater use by all means go with as many channels as you can up to 16 for the Altitude 16 that is, as they have the 32 for even more too. Now that said, almost always choose quality over quantity at least for the front stage channels (Left, Center, Right), and for your subs. The surrounds you can dial it back a bit if need be, but get something similar to the whole sound field’s timbre consistent. Like I was saying in the video, invest first in some top tier speakers before grabbing a Trinnov, “make it make sense” so to speak. You don’t “need” an Amplitude, but the gain matching is awesome, and if it’s within your means why not? Unless you are buying a set of monoblock class A amps or something like that for equal to or greater than cost and that’s each, I really don’t expect you to hear an appreciable difference. Especially when the dead silent and “gain on a wire” nature of the Amplitude just maximizes the work of the optimizer corrections and personalized target curve. As for what I like regarding speakers, I’d recommend: PerListen be it S or R Series, Wisdom Audio Sage or Wisdom series, Ascendo’s Be series, Sonus faber’s Arena line, Theory/Pro Audio Technology especially their active 3 way speakers, or KEF’s newest Dominus rated THX in walls.

These speakers go against so much of the confentional speaker design that I really really want to hear them. I love the shape. Wide and shallow speakers are rare and if you find them they are panels usually. This design for a big box speaker is so much friendlier on floor space in smaller rooms.
