14:38 A rhetorical trick, eh. Such a clever way to associate it with spirituality! However, if you really look into transhumanism, it's entirely based on materialism. (BTW, materialism doesn't jive with buddhism. The claim that Hughes is a "buddhist" [2:47] is very very odd.) 22:54 "Cloning" and "twins" are totally different. Is this just not well thought through? Or does this show Hughes's inherent bias and intent? 23:29 The statement starts sensible (interests affect tech rollout), but it soon turns into strange assertions. Centralized or decentralized is not the issue. The initial cost of nuclear tech is very high, so centralization is inevitable. But a solar panel factory is definitely not "very decentralized". The biggest player on the market also has a strong state behind it. 31:15 The attitude revealed by Hughes's "the future in which we imagine" is quite telling. All rainbows and unicorns; all wishful thinking. This kind of attitude won't lead to "as much good science as we can now" (29:31). Good scientists work hard to falsify any hypothesis they come up with, so the outcome can be as robust as it can get. 58:07 I'd say that's not the principal question. The principal question should be what consciousness really is. "Magical" and "supernatural" are such outdated terms often used by materialists (or Scientism worshipers) in a dismissive way. 1:00:25 It'd be better to make a distinction between "virtual" and "mediated". Blurring the line between the two like Hughes does here may serve the purpose of making arguments, but it really is not helpful. 1:06:55 Hughes misses the point again. People may be able to change their chromosomes in the future, but such technology is not here at present. The denial of biological reality and forcing people to kotow to such idea is why there is a backlash. (Hughes did claim "gender is meaningless" [1:07:39], so I guess it's only natural that he misses the point.) 1:08:32 The question was not properly phrased in the first place. Using "psychology" or "evolutionary biology" instead of "biology" may be better? Anyhow, Hughes jumped right into transgenderism also tells us something about his thinking. 1:57:11 A curious choice of word: "'stronger' transnational institutions". Not "better", eh. Looks like the failure of WHO in the C19 fiasco taught him nothing.

Of course it's real because we are spirits in reality. This physical made up illusion created by energy (atoms) at proper time will decay away . What's the best part of out of body is as you rise up moving toward ceiling of the room, you wonder if you'll hit ceiling but you stop a foot below, then you move toward wall, you don't stop you move thru the wall you feel nothing. You're in another room people talking below you unaware of you, another wall I went thru into a hallway again people walking and talking unaware of me.

I enjoyed this interview although I do wish the interviewer spoke a little less and had her speak more. “Hey, I was just free associating here…maybe you could talk to Tyler and have him come on MY show. “ :) Says him and every other podcaster. I think if he wanted to come forward publicly it would not be here..

I know its half-baked but this all sounds very similar to Terence McKenna talking about hyperspace during the psychedelic experience and the universe as a novelty-complexity engine that updates itself into higher and higher levels of complexity, and runs on "language" or what Stephen is calling programs. Then the Ruleiad Woodbury at McKenna called, in a much more Messianic way, the transcendental object at the end of time

[1Co 1:18-31 KJV] 18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. 20 Where [is] the wise? where [is] the scribe? where [is] the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. 22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: 23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; 24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. 25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. 26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, [are called]: 27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, [yea], and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: 29 That no flesh should glory in his presence. 30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

Fascinating. You suggest epigenetic changes may pass on memories across generations. I wonder if you’ve considered Rupert Sheldrake’s hypothesis of morphic resonance which may transmit a new habit of nature forward to future generations? Sounds like a good example and could be taken further.

GOD had to bring the flood 4,370 years ago to destroy Satan's first batches of hybrids and soon GOD will have to intervene and destroy the present batch.

I think what’s hard about believing this is that viewing specific words and numbers is exactly what’s needed to prove that any of this is real, yet it seems it’s the one thing that is very hard to do. I want to believe, but if no one can “see” what’s written on top of Susan Blackmore’s fridge, we’ve got a major problem. 😕 That said, from some of the NDE stories I’ve read and heard about, numbers are not a problem to read, which is provocative.

I actually think that Tsang might be schizophrenic. I don’t think he said anything but “symmetry is everything” over and over. It’s like he sees these “symmetries” in everything but he’s literally just explaining causes and effects. It was completely disjointed, literally to the level of an insane person.

By extricating 'reality' from mind, materialism has sent the significance of nature into exile. With the pathetic grin of hubris stamped on our foolish faces, we carefully unwrap the package and then proceed to throw away its contents while proudly storing the empty box on the altar of our ontology.....Bernardo Katstrup

I love Sheldrake, but do suggest that Einstein's theory of spacetime is as good as occult because it reifies time as a dimension even though it is no more than a way of measuring change. Full blown Pythagorean occultism.

This resonates with the Botzmann Brain idea: the miraculous improbability of there being ANY consistent order in an overwhelmingly random chaotic universe, compounded by the inconceivably rare prospect that not only was there order somewhere in the universe, but there was also a consciousness that was also so ordered that it could experience and interpret this order, perceive it and calculate it. Maybe it has something to do with 1/137, the Fine Structure Constant. Like, if there were not some underlying constant, replications and resonances and repetitions and recreations of reality in consciousness would not be possible--there would be no platform for the overlap of things and awarenesses and patterns in reality and the recreation of these patterns in concepts and ideas of "laws" of nature.

Amino acid formation occurs spontaneously if the basic components are present (H2O, NH3, H2, CH4/CO2) plus energy such as lightning and sunlight/UV. The fundamental reason for this is that the amino acid reaction runs thermodynamically “downhill” - ie it is chemically and thermodynamically favoured in that direction. Protein production requires amino acids as building blocks but this reaction is NOT thermodynamically favoured. It is less likely to proceed without a catalyst or extremely long periods of time. Catalysts can be both chemical and physical in nature. NB: The Miller-Urey experiment in the 1950s easily produced a vast collection of amino acids but no proteins in the reaction flask. It appears that for reproducible and self-replicating life to emerge several distinct biochemical reactions and steps are needed.

Robert Monroe came to the same discovery. The OBE is shifting one's conscious focus to different locales; not literally leaving the human body, but it's translated as a detachment because it better reflects the physical plane that we're used to being incarnated in. This one place of focus where we become accustomed to navigating within the confines of time and distance. In essence we're actually part of one big awareness that's experiencing, or ''looking'' into multiple different reality frames, simultaneously. You choose where to focus.
