Love them! Rikard and Victor the Guitar Nerd are beasts on guitar and Madeleine has such a beautiful voice that makes me think of Egyptian tunes. She can belt when the song calls for it. Rikard,with the stripes on his face is her partner. Once you hear her you want more, then there is the band doing a great backing for her.

The images are from the first leg of their 40th anniversary world tour, which began in October and ended at Christmas. They hit Europe and South America, and the next leg, which starts soon, is North America. They've consistently played to sold-out crowds of DT fans who were most excited and curious to see drummer Mike Portnoy back in the band after a 13-year hiatus.

Sorry, the Metallica's cover destroyed the creepy vibe of the original. And Buck belongs to a different league compared to Kirk. James saved the outro though. I love Metallica, but this song is beyond their capabilities ( specially the guitars) Buck was a much more accomplished guitar player at his peak.

@@Forwhomthebelltolls24 I agree, I did like the original version better as well, the live performance from 1978 at I believe it was the capital center was really great and amazing, it painted quite a picture.

I thought Metallica really did BOC right with this cover. Hetfield's vocals are not the......type, needed to best highlight this piece, but still does a great job. Metallica of course put their own harder edge on it, which is not a bad thing in itself. The closing though, no one else sings out, "Astronomy. A star..." like Eric.

So thank you for another first for me, I've never heard of architects before. The cohesive flow of the band was impressive, every instrument had a moment to shine but showcased the pure talent when harmony was reached together. The vocal range there is really great too! Interesting art work on the video, leaves a lot to be interpreted, made me go back and rewatch. Really great one..please keep 'em coming. I haven't heard of Sleep token before, I thought you were switching it up to something kinda softer, blending some new sound in, and to be honest it wasn't bad, then that harder sound came in and I was in! I was like 'oh- this is why I'm here, I get it now! ', but I feel like they maybe left me hanging at the end. I thought your sound was fading and poof, the song was over. I think it's enough of a taste to get me to check them out though, thanks for the insight and as always, thanks for keeping it you!

@JeffreyBos75

This was a free concert so your claim that 500,000 tickets were sold is total BS!!! By claiming this you have no idea how the USSR worked as a communist country, people didnt have money for basic needs in life so how could they afford to spend money on a ticket for a concert??? And the fact you believe that the helicopters were there to cool people off is just hilarious, maybe the venue was held on a Military Airbase and safety wasn't a priority on the list of the USSR....

So, just a slightly different take on the massive 'selfs' he was fighting with the swords, could that have been his traumas or traumatic experiences that he didn't want to talk about taking him over? Forcing him to see them, experience them as his new self, perhaps? Definitely see some matrix mirroring ! Couldn't help but get a mortal combat vibe from the scene where he punched the ground and it shattered up! Keep doing what you're doing, it's great- spread the vibes!

@@marylambert8485 Yes those were his inner demons he was fighting and the one that was fighting all the others is the current incarnation of himself. As far as him punching the ground and the MK comment I think of Sub-Zero and his ice grenades. Thank you so much

The Bass player here is Jason Newsted. Jason Newkid , as the rest of the band referred to him for most of his stint with them, stepped in as bassist after Cliff Burton tragically died in a bus accident on tour, September 27, 1986. Jason's first show with the band was November 8, 1986. Jason never seemed to fit in the band, but was with them for 15 years and 4 studio albums. Enter Sandman was from their 2nd album with him, but the first you could actually hear him play on. Listen to any song from 1988's ...And Justice for All album. There is little, if any, bass guitar track audible. Jason left the band in January 2001. Current bass man Robert Trujillo joined in 2003.

As KingNothing2x4 mentioned before this concert was on September 28 1991 at Tushino Airfield (Military Airbase) in Moscow. The month prior to this concert there was a failed coup attempt in the USSR and the people wanted a rock concert to celebrate this failed attempt. During all these events in the USSR the Monsters of Rock festival was touring the major cities in Europe and the tour management and bands decided to give a free concert in Moscow to fulfill the wishes of the people of the USSR. Yes, there were a lot of people that attended this free concert but as the footage shows there was also a lot of military forces present to keep the crowd under control BUT the simple fact is that the number of people that attended this concert is simply unknown! The numbers people have thrown around over the years across have become larger and larger just like a fishermans tale. The USSR had way more pressing issues in their agenda during this period because the USSR would fall 3 months later (December 25 1991) and i am pretty sure counting the heads on some free concert wasn't one of them...

Good morning Chris. I absolutely love this song. This song is kinda about a woman but it's mostly about mental health. 1:58 I'm never alone, I'm alone all the time" speaks on even though his lover left him, the voices in his head still haunt him. Oh my, you and I could have such a deep dive on this one. It's very sad yet so beautiful. If I might make a suggestion, it would be easier to hear if you could turn the volume up on the song just a smidge ❤❤
