I thought Metallica really did BOC right with this cover. Hetfield's vocals are not the......type, needed to best highlight this piece, but still does a great job. Metallica of course put their own harder edge on it, which is not a bad thing in itself. The closing though, no one else sings out, "Astronomy. A star..." like Eric.

Sorry, the Metallica's cover destroyed the creepy vibe of the original. And Buck belongs to a different league compared to Kirk. James saved the outro though. I love Metallica, but this song is beyond their capabilities ( specially the guitars) Buck was a much more accomplished guitar player at his peak.

@@Forwhomthebelltolls24 I agree, I did like the original version better as well, the live performance from 1978 at I believe it was the capital center was really great and amazing, it painted quite a picture.
