Looks awesome! Agree it should also come with longer pole for water use.

You c an starch the two parts of the lucky duck using the button clips and the webbing, then they clip on much more secure to the strap

Yeah I'm with you on this....Twenty years ago we ran 3 doz. of the G&H super mag goose decoys and consistantly killed more birds than anyone else using smaller decoys around us. The visibility and size seem to almost mesmerize geese once they see them. We've had groups lock on from half mile away and glide immediately to us once they see a spread of these on the ground. In recent years hunting in CA with smaller shells, full bodies and now silo's we have never had the success that the super mags provided.

I’m glad to hear you’ve had such great success with the bigger decoys and you are right, geese do seem to love them!

Any that you recommend that will hold 2?

I think as far as the butt up decoys. The mojo is better. It might feel cheap but it has a lot more water movement then the ghg. I wood duck hunt in Georgia so I like a smaller decoy. I don’t care if the ducks see the butt up decoy, I just want water movement, and the mojo moves a lot of water

I have tested it out and yes it looks extremely realistic but the body is made out of styrofoam and has a rhino line paint over it, I am to hard on gear for this thing to last me more than a hunt or two. It also just doesnt have great features for it to be worth it for me.

Had one of those a year ago…HATED IT! The idea is great, the decoy looks nice and it seemed well made. The big problem was the timer for the motor. The cycle would only run for maybe 3 seconds before it would shut back down and sit dormant for about 10 seconds (then repeat). The short period that the pump would run wasn’t long enough to get such a big decoy to move any distance, and as a result, there wouldn’t be much movement of the water. If the motor would run for maybe 10 seconds before shutting back down, that might be enough to get the decoy moving about like a real bird and create life-like ripples on the water surface. But since the timer was not programmable, I S-CANNED it.

I have a bunch of lucky duck products and can say magnetic wings are a huge + I hunt mostly water so I don’t really see a huge use for a flapper like this but I like the external leads and use of 12v system most of my ducks are 6v or 9v so use of 12v system means my drill battery which powers my light on my kayak can also run the decoys

The reason they work is because they can be seen from a greater distance. If you've ever been in a small plane from the air you have no depth perception. You can't tell if that decoy is a foot long or ten feet long until you get right next to it. You have nothing to compare it to size wise. Funny how when geese land next to the big guys they don't want to leave. They will shinny up next to them. Good hunting.

It's amazing how they don't mind being next to them and just settle right in!

Lucky duck is far superior. Sold all my Higdon motion decoys two seasons ago and bought all Lucky Duck. Higdon has changed their designs so many different times cause they are faulty (customer service is also a joke). This Higdon pulsator has to be at least the 5th generation they have released. Rodger’s sells the lucky duck in a two pack that will get as low as 189 if you watch for it. Parts are cheap for the lucky duck if you don’t want to go through customer service. The Higdon can be a pain to work on once they break. I will give it to Higdon that the magnet charging port is smart, hopefully it’ll last. Either way with both products, if you’re hunting hard, will break. Both are made out of plastic and are not built to last. I chose Lucky Duck after two bad seasons with the Higdon decoys and haven’t looked back.
@kylezindell97443 ай бұрын
I had the OG higdon pulsator, actually 2. both are now broken. the tube broke off the bilge pump on one and the entire bottom section broke off the other. Don't like the design, can use it in super shallow water, and no remote to turn off. my next ones will be LD's

Awesome video!!
@AleaveSpetzz3 ай бұрын
The bungee is not the anchor point… the bungee is to keep the tube on the bottom portion. There is a normal anchor point. I disconnect the tube during transport so it does not break and the bungee goes around the pump to keep the tube attached to the decoy when not affixed to the base.

I’ve yet to find the perfect waders. Currently on my 2nd year with the Frogg Togg waders. Not a fan of those moon style looking boots….my Frogg togg have same clunky oversized boot. Will try those High N Dry waders when these start to leak. That Surviving Duck Season guy raves about them and he hunts most of the season.

I think you'd be pushing it in Idaho. The regs say records or tapes, which this is not, or sounds, or electronically amplified imitations of bird sounds. Not saying it's illegal, just saying I don't necessarily want to be the one to put it to the test
@Willthenextduckcommander4 ай бұрын
It’s apparently has a reed like a regular duck call in it so it’s a regular duck call and they said it’s not a tape the wings are something blows hair and it’s a duck call
