The reason Toad's kart looked familiar to me wasn't because it looks like his movie kart, it's because it's LITERALLY the kart from the Famicom Grand Prix II: Hot Rally art that they love to use all the time, lol.

I mean the Mario Movie's DK was kinda always an omen for DKs to come. It was specifically designed that way because of Nintendo and for all the changes the movie made, brand synergy is always a top priority for Nintendo, especially with Mario

I say multiple times in the video that "Donkey Kong looks like his movie design." And I'm sure everyone on the internet is saying "DK is definitely inspired by his movie design!!" But I don't think that's true. I think both the movie and the new Mario Kart have similar designs for DK because they're both takes on a more classic-inspired Donkey Kong. Nothing else has been taken from the movie, and the subtle differences in the design feel closer to Mario than the movie does. Also I'm already getting used to the design and I think I'm gonna love it. When we start seeing him show expressions and stuff he's gonna look awesome.

Has this become a meme yet? Because if it hasn't, then we need to fix that. Let society know that VGM can go just as hard as any other mainstream music out there, if not harder.
