Fantastic single from a fantastic band. For those who don’t know check out Kokomo, the band who were born out of Arrival. Their self-titled first album is the best British white soul album of all time. RIP the wonderful Dyan Birch and Alan Spenner.

Jim would be proud of you Ray how you humbly and gracefully handled the Band and working with Other Bands with dignity and respect after he was gone. RIP Ray & Jim.

This was the first Zappa song I ever heard, played over the PA before a concert. Instantly got my attention and I’ve been hooked ever since!

What an interesting band, besides Ray Manzarek of The Doors, we’ve also got Nigel Harrison of Blondie on the bass.

Einer meiner absoluten Lieblingssongs !! Jango ist der beste Clown 🤡 ever. Leider ist hier der Schluß abgehakt. Da fehlt was.

Frank Zappa, Joes Garage specifically, influenced my music, my mind, my entire perspective on life starting at age 14. I play drums. I played Ms. Pinky and Dumb All Over and a little Ugly on the side. No easy feat as a kid. Zappa’s composition, arrangements, lyrics and performances stand alone on so many levels it’s mind blowing. I know a few of his players: Bozzio, Wackerman, Thunes and Dunbar. Every musician that played with Zappa was a pro and diverse and capable of playing anything from Jazz, folk, disco, new wave, classical, Jazz and everything in between. I practice the same music dynamic, work ethic and weirdness.

💗Indeed, Stan was an outstanding human being & an amazing soul.. Jango was a great character but Stan was the real man behind the ensemble. Thank you for this beautiful comment. Stay well !

Bought this LP after his show in "Melkweg". Amsterdam, around 1980. Never understand, why this great record was never released on CD.😒

Superb! So much fun ... a bit latino a bit of story telling, a bit of prog melody, laughing and leading into one of the creamiest guitar solos of all time.
