Jim would be proud of you Ray how you humbly and gracefully handled the Band and working with Other Bands with dignity and respect after he was gone. RIP Ray & Jim.

What an interesting band, besides Ray Manzarek of The Doors, we’ve also got Nigel Harrison of Blondie on the bass.

I had this LP back in the day. Ray did a whole lot of neat stuff in LA for years after The Doors. this is good to hear again.

It's alright, Nite City! Thank you for your company for almost whole my life. Wouldn't wanna live in any other time like this with you, The Doors, Stones, Beatles and all this great music and feelings. See you all later! Greetings from Berlin!

I have this album from back when it was released and I thought it was a fabulous album. Could not understand how it didn't really go anywhere.

They were victims of the corporate world. Record companies were looking for " hits" to make lots of cash. They didn't care about art.

I was 7 years old when my parents bought this album and was immediately influenced by it. I still listen to it today. One of the most underrated rock albums of all time. I did not care for Golden Days Diamond nights when I heard it on Napster back in 2000 but Nite City 1977 will always be a classic. Too many rock fans missed the boat on this.

I was a member of this band, just prior to Paul Warren joining. I left, as I had an offer for a project with a music publisher. Loved working with Ray Manzarek, he was a terrific Pianist, smart guy, just this wasn't really happening (management might have been a little too closely involved in the music, etc.). My name was left off "Midnight Queen," as a going away present (I'll assume that was managements choice). Oh well!

@LaGuNalOvERs42 - Hi, I'm the guitarist from Nite City. I'd love to hear from your friends Dad. I believe his real name is Phil Crane, but at the time he was calling himself Noah James.

Paul: Can you tell us anything about working on this project? I think the first album was underrated. This track pulsates and grows on you.

I saw them live in NY in the 70's. Just awesome! Jim Morrison is a tough act to follow, but Noah was his own man and did a great job. He didn't try to be "Jim" he was just Noah and did a great job of it. Of course Ray was and is awesome! I saw him in NY and CA too, when he was doing the "The Whole Thing Started With Rock and Roll" and the "Golden Scarab."

I bought this album when it first came out. It wasn't the Doors, but given a few listens, I got hooked. Nice effort by Ray Manzarek and friends.

I love this album but have never heard the second one. I always felt the singer was doing a watered-down version of Morrison but the band still had a good individual sound.

Hello Paul, We (Isaiah) opened for Nite City in Tucson at Choo Choo's Friday and Sat. nights, then you and Jimmy came and jammed with us Sunday night, Ray was there, you 3 were the coolest in the band, we had a great time, you guys RAWKED! Tripp

@PaulWarrenProject:I played with Noah James in San Francisco before moving to L.A.When I played with him, after rehearsing for a year,we played three gigs where Noah got stage fright and freaked out worse than anybody could imagine. His real name is Don Crane. He also appeared on The People's Court.

I find it somewhat funny that The Doors never had successful careers after Morrison, I mean yeah they made more records, but none of them were really big hits... I'm surprised.

Hey, guys get THIS. John Densmore wrote in his book, that after The Doors disbanded "Ray then started some Doors-copy band, called Nite City" What crap eh?
