The XBox's demise can be directly traced to the release of Kinect. Before that XBox was doing extremely well and competing or even surpassing Playstation. But they got greedy and wanted some of that Wii audience, thus we got the woeful Kinect which subsequenly saw the closure of many of Microsofts game development studios. Because who needs talented developers capable of making AAA titles when, any old talentless hack can churn out cheaply made Kinect games every few months, right?

No. Far from it. The content itself/ways of accessing/streaming is changing but nothing beats a big OLED set with surround sound system to view/hear stuff.

The problem with the Atari Jaguar wasn't the console itself, it was Atari themselves. They had lost a lot of market share to Sega and Nintendo and Bankruptcy was on the cards before they released it. It did not help that they spent much of its development on the Panther too. They just did not have the money to scout for developers let alone support them, leading to a lackluster game selection that weren't just remakes of the simplistic arcade games from 15 years before.

The amount of failed systems and peripherals Ive bought was insane. Saturn,Dreamcast,Minidisc,Kinect V1 and V2 Xbox HDDVD addon Basically if it's a two horse race and I'm looking at it and thinking it's cool, buy the other as that's probably the one that's going to succeed lol

I had an Atari Jaguar CD (bought in the 2010s) - my main issue is a lot of the games just weren't good. Some were, but a big chunk just weren't. Club Drive - I'm looking at you. Sadly I think it has to go on the Wall of Shame as Atari messed up the marketing, the manufacturing (the CD drive should never have been an add-on - it should have been there at the start) and poor games. The Kinect - probably also Shame, and HDDVD (due to format limitations) and the Saturn (due to delays and price). However the Pebble is Wall of Fame as it did nothing wrong, it was just a small device up against a giant.

Had listened on podcast but now watched and the deep fake would be easy to miss if you were not paying attention. But the fact that no movement of body or hair, mouth was out of sync. So many red flags. it proves the fact that you need to pay attention to these things and there will be so many parts that are wrong. Loving the episodes and watching you two working together again.

I cannot risk watching TV because I don't want my intelligence insulted with deeply bigoted, racist, homophobic sexist woke propaganda. Drag and celeb nonsense and all modern drama and comedy can get in the sea. All went wrong about 10 yeara ago.

I dont understand why you didnt do a LG TV priced at £1700 vs a Hisense TV priced at £1700? This isnt a comparison at all. Its like Saying im going to compare £40k Audi vs £25K BMW, Its obvious what the difference is. Also a better test to make both brands unknown during the test. Eliminating Biased views. Poor test and comparison.

I remember when channel 5 came out with the gadget show, it was a brilliant breath of fresh air. Now instead of being restricted to watching it when I'm in the house, I can put on my nreal air glasses plugged into my phone, or listen to this as a podcast on the walk to work. There are easier ways to consume your favourite shows, but coming in and listening to those phat beats on the telly still warms my heart. I think I'm on the fence on this topic. For the record, I'm 42.

From what I can tell from Comparison videos, it feels like Go Pro are now lagging in 3rd between the DJI Osmo Action 5and the Insta360 Ace 2, especially when it comes to low light. The Insta360 is miles ahead, when at decent light all three are pretty close with maybe the Osmo Action 5 or Go Pro Hero 13 the best. Hope Go Pro can improve their fortunes with the Hero 14. Right now though all three are great but GoPro seems like it is playing catchup.

Like Jason, I am a collector. Still got all of my original consoles from the 80s onwards and then adopted / bought a whole bunch more. I was mostly active in the collector scene between the late 2000-2010, and yeah I have walked past so many consoles and games that was just in abundance that they did not look like they would be worth anyone owning. Skip ahead today and they are going for hundreds of pounds.

Hiya Gang! I made games for the Saturn (Tomb Raider, Swag Man, Blam Machine Head) and really enjoyed playing them too, its blend of 2D and 3D capabilities was great for the time, it even had hardware playfields like the older 16-bit consoles. Its range of game titles was very strong and they were pretty arcade accurate.

Are movies dying? Why have a glitzy premier and hype it up in the media for a movie that's an hour and a half? Most people would prefer to watch a series that's 10 hours long and it's a better story

I can't believe HD, 2k, 4k, 8k are even being created. There is no content to watch. Most live TV is either standard or compressed HD. All uhd is behind ever increasing pay walls. Atmos is all pay extra. Even the standard definition is ultra compressed on free TV.

The future of TV. I distinctly remember Chris Evans when he was on Radio 2 (that's how long ago it was), saying that he had been somewhere, China/Japan etc, and had visited a tech company and had been shown a hologram that in his words, was so real it looked like it was in the room. Can't believe that after all these years that hasn't been developed into something and released onto the market.

The observations about short form video content is right. But, in order to actually learn something substantial, short form video content just doesn't cut it. So there's a disparity between short bite sized pieces of 'entertainment', and anything more detailed, that requires attention and focus. I've noticed recently a different trend amongst YT channels. Vloggers that routinely post content, usually 10-20 mins or so, whilst travelling through a particular country lets say, are, at the end of that series, editing together all of that series into one 2-3 hour long video, AND they are getting views, myself included. Time will tell what the long term effects are on the TikTok generation. I saw it recently in my nephew (13) and niece (10) face down, watching their smart phones constantly, watching nothing in particular, swipe, view, swipe, view, and learning absolutely nothing in the process. When I asked my niece if she watched anything specific, she was following over 300 channels, but of nothing in particular.

I agree that a lot of people's attention span is shortening with the likes of tiktoc but I do think we are seeing a return to longer form content in some places. There's a hunger for podcasts like never before, most of which are an hour plus, some that I listen to even run up to 4 hours. Even here on KZbin I'm seeing more and more creators making feature length films / videos, maybe these will be their "specials" but the audience is there. It's obviously platform dependent. I do wonder if these longer formats is driven by the gen x and millennials, the middle generations if you will. Are the younger generations consuming this content? I honestly don't know but I doubt it.
