Tony Taters was a fan favorite, but they simply didn't have room for him anymore. They have to get their young guys more AB's. If he was good defensively, could run the bases or could get on base at at least a league average rate I'd agree, but he's a 1 tool player. 1 tool players aren't worth $90 mil.

@@zackhample if he hits 40+ HR's every year of that contract I'll concede the value part. He'll be worth the money if he does that. However, he didn't do that at all until his walk year. It's hard to bank on him doing that every year going forward into his mid 30's, and if he's not hitting a ton of HR's, where's the value?
