I have a 2008 1.4 FN1 with the i-DSI engine (pretty much the most base model engine) and it has 293k kms that I purchased originaly for 1500 EUR with 270k kms. I plan on getting her all the way to 350k+ kms with many long road trips in the future, I call it the swiss army knifes of hatchback simply by how utilitarian this car is. Obviously if you buy a used car for that price you have to a general service/oil change. I dropped about 600 on various parts for the car and now its just chugging along smoothly. Im saving up for a FN2 Type R and telling myself im just practicing with training wheels on with my FN1 in the meantime. Thank you Jeremy for saying this is bad car because we don't need any more hype driving up prices!

Great video mate! Love all the bits you've put on it. It's clearly a well thought out and balanced car. Sick wheels too, and good sizes. I thought when you came on camera first you were gonna yell. It was a funny moment. Keep up the good work mate, entertaining video!!

Ohhhh see I drifted the other day unexpectedly and I was tapping the throttle pushing it up to 3000-4000 on a corner and then releasing and doing it again for the noise and I started the YAW and had to counter steer my way out of it

Hi There ....Can I ask your advice ... I Am 60 , still love my cars .... I have a Cooper S 2004 with Koni Adjustables fitted ,,,,its Still hard... Would you say your car is Bone - Shaking ? ...or is it liveable day to day ...I will be doing 6 hours round trip once a month ....would it be comfy enough? Cheers Lee
@DrivenDynamicAutomotive5 ай бұрын
Hi Lee, the car is certainly not too harsh, it’s definitely something you can live with day to day but don’t expect crazy levels of comfort, it may only feel slightly harsh over very bad roads however the car is quite dailyable

I love my Accord EX-L. It sounds good now that i got a totally and not sarcastic at all emissions compliant header, and i got some enkeis for it. Its fun, its comfortable, and with just a few thousand dollars more in mods it will beat about 50% of the cars on the road in a straight line, and about 80% of the cars on the road in curves. So yeah, its a good purchase for sure. Plus ive always wanted a coupe. :)

Hi, what are the torque numbers on your vehicle with these mods or currently? Im looking for an accord as well and just do manifolds aiming for midrange power

great vid! some friendly constructive criticism - as a professional engineer id have liked to see you go toe deep into the technical side of how different drive trains and handling components ( e.g. tires, suspension, anti roll bars...) work together in respect to how quickly you accelerate, break, turn etc. and what happens to these components as you lose control as suppose to just what the whole cars doing. UPLOAD MORE! :)

First time i’ve seen someone articulate my opinions so well. I strongly agree with you and I feel that because I’m going into mechanical engineering and I strive to understand every little component of the car it makes me a much better driver. And I know for a fact that I’m a better driver because I’m faster than all my friends in go-karts 😂😂

Yeah the older models you can pick them up for around the $4000,00 mark but most of them have high ks and have been flogged out. I got a 2011 accord euro R CU2 luxury for $6000,00. 6 speed manual,full modulo body kit,low ks,and in pretty good condition for a 13 year old car. They are awesome cars,I see why owners smile every time they drive them.

under and oversteer generally depend on the vehicle, suspension setup and alignment. Then comes the driving, so I would have to disagree on both. Yes driving plays a part, but if your setup is bad, generally you just adapt your driving to the over or understeer.
