This car doesn't deserve so much hate... I got mine since a few years ( it's a 2008 ) , i use it as daily , i improved it with some good parts, and i just love it . People just talk without even driving it once ... And it already goes up in value , i bought mine 11k euros , now the same one with the same km is almost 15k here in France.

Same here, bought mine 2 years ago for smth like 12k, it's a 2007 one Still completely stock but each time I'm driving it I'm having fun and it's all that matters to me Yeah it might not be that fast but the feeling of the car is more important to me anyway But eh, it seems people really likes to hate on civics and especially on the FN2 but whatever

I love my fn2, it puts a smile on my face everytime i drive it. That k20 engine is literally bullet proof and revs like a motorbike, the steering is on point even without the rear double wishbone and it sticks to the road like glue, plus they're fairly cheap.

My FN2 came with a LSD (all models built after 04/2010, and the championship white one from 2008 I think). I won't give her away freely, love it :)

I have a 2008 1.4 FN1 with the i-DSI engine (pretty much the most base model engine) and it has 293k kms that I purchased originaly for 1500 EUR with 270k kms. I plan on getting her all the way to 350k+ kms with many long road trips in the future, I call it the swiss army knifes of hatchback simply by how utilitarian this car is. Obviously if you buy a used car for that price you have to a general service/oil change. I dropped about 600 on various parts for the car and now its just chugging along smoothly. Im saving up for a FN2 Type R and telling myself im just practicing with training wheels on with my FN1 in the meantime. Thank you Jeremy for saying this is bad car because we don't need any more hype driving up prices!

Great video, for a look and for a hearing as well. Greetings from Slovakia. ; ) Please let me ask you - I´m seriously thinking about buying the FN2, but opinions about very stiffness of the stock suspension setup make me a little bit of afraid. Is that really so bad for a daily use, as some of other owners says? : ) Thank you.
@misterurlauber333 Жыл бұрын
The suspension is actually relatively hard. It depends if you can get used to it (I did and I like it even as a daily). You have to try that for yourself, if you have the chance.
@DrivenDynamicAutomotive Жыл бұрын
Might be worth test driving to check out for yourself, for me personally it is fine as im used to stiff cars, however, depends on your own preferences :)

Hi There ....Can I ask your advice ... I Am 60 , still love my cars .... I have a Cooper S 2004 with Koni Adjustables fitted ,,,,its Still hard... Would you say your car is Bone - Shaking ? ...or is it liveable day to day ...I will be doing 6 hours round trip once a month ....would it be comfy enough? Cheers Lee
@DrivenDynamicAutomotive6 ай бұрын
Hi Lee, the car is certainly not too harsh, it’s definitely something you can live with day to day but don’t expect crazy levels of comfort, it may only feel slightly harsh over very bad roads however the car is quite dailyable

@@2CoolF0rSch00l But in straight line?
@smokeguru4107 Жыл бұрын
@@grabthecat They are pretty much similar, but you really have to work for your horses in the Civic. You got to keep it at and above 6k RPM. Power = RPM x Torque. This engine has no torque, but all the revs, so if you want to keep up, rev it to high heavens (And dw, it's made for it) The Golf always was too casual for me, the seating position, the pedals, the steering and shifter. It just feels like a regular golf with a better set up. Because of that, it's a better daily driver. But I wanted something that's daily drivable, yet more on the crazy side. So I got the Civic. I can't say too much about the Focus, but I'd take the FN2 over it any day. I love the K20 engine, and I love the crazy design of both exterior and interior.

Around 3000rpm if I reckon correctly, where I live most highways are limited to 130km/h and usually in 6th gear you're sitting at 4000rpm Though it's not an highway car nor a cruising car by any means, it's way more fun on b-roads or twisty roads
