My parents took me to Strasburg in summer of 1969 as a 6 year old boy. My first steam engine train ride was pulled by #90... we took lots of pictures. Fast forward 35 years and myself, my three boys and my parents enjoyed a ride pulled by #90. It's whistle still gives me chills.

The reason I would think they put a two tone horn is because in most European nations they have the same style eg a high low pitch and afterall the train is of European design

It’s a perfect spot! There’s no staff around to harass you and crews are pretty friendly

Also, most of METRA turf is not electrified, due to the eyesore problems with all powerplants. That is why even METRA contractors are buying DE Chargers, because electrifying the grid won't happen there.
