All the ignorant arrogant people don't understand why a primitive dinosaur harley davidson pushrod v-twin almost went out of business. Well if you stupid to see it still this would be one of the reasons.

This bike is unique. It was given by Mr Honda to the museum (Murray's) at The Bungalow on the Isle of Man TT course, I believe in 1971, when he visited them and the owner mentioned it would be nice to have one of his racing machines on display. It was incorrectly labelled as being the bike Mike Hailwood won Honda's first TT on in 1961, but that was a 2RC143 (as far as I can remember, corrections welcome), which has various quite noticeable differences (seat shape, no exhaust stays from under the seat, amongst others). This bike is from 1960 and when Murray's was up for sale in 2006, they offered it back to Honda who, naturally, made them an offer they couldn't refuse as it's the only one left. I'm so glad it's been properly restored and treasure the few photos I took of it at Murray's in the 1990s. It's now on display in the foyer of the Honda museum at Motegi. And what a great video. Thank you.

It would have been ideal without the "music"; we all are here to listen to the world champion four cylinders Yamaha, not for banal "rock'n roll". Stupid and bad taste. Thanks a lot "HideTunedEngines"

The first formula one race I went to was in 1991, and we snuck into the garages at night. I was struck right away by the light switch like reaction to hitting the throttle. The sound volume was incredible, scary even. It wasn’t pleasant getting too close to them. It’s a wonder that all the old drivers aren’t deaf, even with their sound protection.

That head-on image of the F1 Honda does a nice job to capture the treaded tires they raced on back then; where a single set of tires had to last the entire race distance, as there were no pitstops in that era.
