We will be in Hoi An in January. How would we find the place you had the lobster?????!!!!!
@TasteLifeWithUs

Look on Google maps for Hoi A Night Market. I believe it’s every night from 6 pm on. You’ll see it’s on a Main Street between the 2 rivers with Bi’s Dock at the other end. As you get closer to Bi’s Dock the street market thins out and there are 3 grilled lobster street stalls on the left. It’s the first one (they do have tables and chairs) (so 3rd furthest from the river by Bi’s dock). Look carefully at the video to see the name on the cart and what the lady looks like that owns it. Enjoy!! Great question! By the way just before the lobster place is the rolled ice cream stall we also went to.

It depends on where and how you go. Definitely some places, islands, hilly cobblestone towns and remote locations, require a certain physicality to get there. Larger cities are easier as we age, I think. We’re trying to do slightly harder places now while we can but many have already passed us by. We don’t climb mountains😂😉

Did you guys have a travel plan? Or do you just go someplace and when you get feeling done, come up with a new destination?

Great question! We would like to be more spontaneous like that and think it works better in some locations and travel seasons than others. Sometimes it’s easier to find the right accommodation we’d like if we book farther ahead, especially for long stays. Usually we book about 6 months out, one region at a time so we can get most of the transportation and accommodations in order and then just enjoy ourselves and plan activities day to day. We have a series of 4 travel planning videos on how we do it, plus some miscellaneous planning related videos, on this playlist: kzbin.info/aero/PLaKrCcu1wb9PnHthjIrMWGqIiWwokNpfs&si=e4RJomK8vLCyzyGo

It was only $55 for the both of us, including transportation to and from our hotel (we booked it through the hotel). We were coincidentally lucky to have no one else in the group and because of that and how awesome she was, we tipped the guide $20 in addition. If you look in the video description, we included info to contact her directly.

Hey, we are full time travelers and couldn’t agree more with all you said. We love our Turkish towels; don’t have magnet hooks but travel with suction hooks. If a Air B&B is being chintzy with towels, sheets, cups, plates, pots, pans, etc., we ask for more on day 1 and they usually bring more over the same day. A lot of times the pans are so disgusting we cant use them and we request new ones and they bring them right over. Agree with the small size and bad location of TV’s. We have Nord VPN set for USA on our Firestick and have had no problem getting Netflix everywhere and we are usually out of the US for 9 to 12 months at a time. Hulu will usually detect the VPN after a while but we switch the VPN to another city and are fine. BUT, access to the back of the TV can be a problem and no electric plug in close proximity to TV can be another problem. We are currently in South America so we travel with a 110w extension cord but the extension cords in 240w countries (SE Asia, EU, etc) are too big to travel with. Happy travels

No I do not out of security concerns and so I don’t lose it. On travel days, Tim carries everything in his security pockets. Otherwise we leave everything of value in our room safe (usually) and just take a credit card, debit card and some cash out with us. I keep lip balm etc in my pocket or Tim’s. If we need more stuff we use this lightweight, foldable Osprey daypack: amzn.to/4gfNLdT (legal disclosure: we are an Amazon affiliate and may earn a commission).

@TasteLifeWithUs
@TasteLifeWithUs 25 күн бұрын
Because of weight restrictions we’ve checked them, but before we bought them we checked the size with many airlines and have friends that have carried our exact bags on to budget airlines in SE Asia and Europe so we feel confident (but heavy😂). I really love ours for so many reasons and they are very sturdy from the thick waterproof materials to the awesome zippers and seams, to the handle and the nice big solid wheels unlike any others I’ve seen. We’ve dragged them over every tough surface with no issues. If you purchase, we’d be honored if you’d consider using our Amazon Affiliate link (we make a small commission at no cost to you): amzn.to/3MBOJnk

You guys crack me up! You're satisfying a niche group of people out there and encouraging them in this creative lifestyle choice. The honesty and little sweet jokes feel real and less staged than many. Kudos to you both! The big part of the video that was good for me is when we will start our part-time nomad life in December, I was planning to do a FB group to keep my friends updated. I haad a friend who said that was really sweet but for the most part, people don't care because they can't relate to what we're doing. She said it with love and kindness but it really hit home for me that my community of who cares is in the FB groups we all joined and find meet-ups.
