Just checking... Was this guy sipping his tea and complaining about his sad life actually elected, or is he still sitting around doing nothing, blaming everyone but himself for the poor choices he's making? Upskill, educate yourself, change profession-do something about your life. Keeping your tea mug and blaming the world won’t get you anywhere. But hey, keep recording your pointless videos!

I've heard that the council are starting work on the harbour wall next month
@sbkenn15 ай бұрын
A contractor has been engaged. When they will do the job is another matter. I talked to the guy 2 weeks ago. They have done work on the western islands and knows my brother slightly. This harbour really needs a breakwater too. I can feel the pier vibrate when waves slam against it.

Bit of an update, the council have forwarded the idea to their engineers as part of consultation process. Just need plenty of shares to give it more traction.

Great idea David but how many votes are in it . Unless done by volunteers for free. Which is still a good idea .

4:57 you ask these questions? Just look on harry rehnolds road. What a joke. Waste of millions on some stupid cycle lanes which nobody going to use. Harry rehnolds road was perfect and safe. Was no need to upgrade it. There are so many other places in fingal where roads are death trap, no footpath, no lamppost (e.g entire road from Balbriggan to Naul). What a clows. Have you seen that they already covered Bracken river in two massive pipes. What’s the point

During the sacking of Balbriggan the people of clonard St ran and used the style to hide in the field.

My Mam,Aunt and all my uncles used the stile as a short cut from the town. Across the stile and across the rock field to home. The Melia family is who I'm talking about. My uncles used to have us in stitches with their stories. Thank you for highlighting this.

Commercial eel fishing in Ireland by IFI by going 60% beyond a eu directive but they allow eel be destroyed by big companies and councils
@EARSOUNDS6 ай бұрын
You can actually read the facts about this from all of the public consultations and ecological impact analysis that have been completed by EXPERTS! Your video is clearly created to incite suspicion without doing any prior research which is extremely easy to do online even using Google search. Here's exactly what is happening: (vi) Works to redirect the existing overflow (currently discharging into the Bracken River) from the Irish Water pumping station off Harbour Road to a new discharge location into the Bracken River. (vii) Enhancement works to the Bracken River within the existing open space between Quay Street and Mill Street, including widening of the water course to encourage biodiversity, increase planting and improve flood resilience along the riverbank (including temporary piping of the Bracken River during the construction period of the proposed development). A desk study was undertaken to gather and assess ecological data prior to undertaking fieldwork elements. Sources of datasets and information included: • The National Parks and Wildlife Service • National Biological Data Centre • Satellite, aerial and 6” map imagery • ESRI (QGIS) A provisional desk-based assessment of the potential species and habitats of conservation importance was carried out on 13th April 2022 and was revised on 21st April 2022. Altemar assessed the project, the proposed construction methodology and the operation of the proposed development. consult.fingal.ie/en/system/files/materials/30568/Balbriggan%20EcIA%2024042022.pdf

Is the harbour master not responsible to engage the council in regards to the upkeep and safety of the harbour?
@davidslingsby11427 ай бұрын
He should be engaging with the boat owners but that's the problem but he just says contact FCC and sort it through them. Even the fisherman I have spoken to that complied and registered there vessels with the council are simply being badly treated by FCC. Sadly they fear an even worse treatment if they were to speak out.
