can you fit the fusion pro motor with front servo?
@rccustomcreations17 күн бұрын
Thank you for checking out my content and leaving this comment . With the stock plastic servo mount that comes with this kit. I have a fusion se wich according to hobbywing is 58.1mm long installed. Hobbywing claims the pro is 58mm. So I would say your safe to install a fusion pro. Keep in mind though , I had to downgrade my aluminum front servo mount back to the stock one to I stall the fusion se Edit... The fusion se is very close to the servo as well i doubt i can get a piece of paper between the servo and motor. So both the servo and motor may transfer heat to one another or radio interference. I have yet to have issues like that but have only ran this fusion setup in the winter and my motor does get warm
@reynellealpindo511017 күн бұрын
@@rccustomcreations very informative thanks a lot! I also found some solution where they reverse the servo mount so you can get more space between servo and motor. the only problem I see is you will loose the bumper mount which can be replaced by mounting it on the chassis raile instead of the servo mount

@reynellealpindo5110 That's an excellent trick with the servo mount. I'll keep that in mind if I have issues . Thank you

This was very discouraging and almost had me to the point that I was going to delete the footage. I Bought a set of meus wheels similar to yours but different model. I’m not familiar with this and they have no instructions. If I put the spacer in the middle and wrap the wheel on both sides when I put the rear and front of the wheel on there is a ugly gap between the front and back portion of the wheel. Looks like I would have to bolt the rear and middle part on the car then bolt the front on after the others are installed. Have you ever ran into an issue like that? Most other wheels I’ve looked at have a recessed outer that tapers toward the center bolt making it out in the open and easily accessible. That’s not the case with these wheels. It has a recessed back with a gap between them and then you would have to have a slim nut driver to even access through the hole on out portion of the wheel to even get at the nut. Seems like a really stupid design unless I’m just doing something wrong. That also means it would put a lot of load on those tiny bolts holding the outer portion of the wheel on and also let debree build up between the two sections. On there website it’s Meus Racing 1.0" Beadlock Wheel Rims Aluminum Wheel Hubs with Brass Wheel Rings for Axial 1/24 Gladiator Bronco C10 JLU Deadbolt TRX4M and it is going on the TRX4M. Style B.
@rccustomcreationsАй бұрын
Hello bud, sorry for the delayed reply. What I find with a lot of 1.0 wheels you have to have the 4 way cross wrench to access the center axle nut due to the clearance issue you have mentioned. These wheels are so small that there is not much the manufacturers can do without restricting the clearance around that nut . I do get your frustration that way. I purchased 4 sets of precision tools from Canadian tire and not one set had a nut driver tip that was thin enough on the outside diameter of the socket . Lots of people will grind down the outside profile of a socket that fits the wheel / axle nut as thin as they can to fit inside these 1.0 wheels. It is easy to do if you have a grinder and a drill. Just take the socket and place it in your drill chuck and spin it as fast as the drill will allow. Then use a grinder on the outside surface of the socket ( the end that would fit your nut ) and carefully grind the outside profile as thin as you can but not to thin. Take your time and keep trying to see if the socket will fit in the wheel front where the wheel nut will go. If you have a 4 way cross wrench then you should be able to skip that . As for the wheel space between the front and back half . I have seen issues in the past where I was not able to squeeze the rim fully wich showed a gap in the end . And usually it is my fault that the tire is not seated properly. Some tires are not compatible with other manufacturers wheels . The bead lip on the inside tire is too thick so have you tried with another brand tire? When I assemble my wheels ( this goes for all size wheels ) I will place the center ring in the wheel and then make sure it's centered in the tire as best as possible by eye. Then I place the front ring in the tire and into the center ring . I will visually inspect to make sure that ring is fully seated into the tire and I can not see any bead lip of that tire . I then flip the tire over and line up the bolt holes on the back ring with the front ring before I fully insert that ring into the tires this helps to prevent from upsetting the opposite side ring. I then insert that ring into the tire. While pinching the front and back together I will take the first screw and thread it into any hole . Turn that screw until the wheel rings start to compress slightly. Once that happens Turn the screw 2 or 3 full turns and then stop. Now grab another screw and install that into the hole 180 °across from the first one doing the same as I did with the first screw. Now that you have the halves held with the 2 screws I then take the rest of the screws and place them into the holes and turn them till they start to squeeze the halves and then stop. Once all are installed to to that spec. I now pick any screw and turn it 1 turn or 2 and then move to the next screw over going in clock wise rotation and keep doing that untill all the screws are fully tight and there is no gap In The wheel halves. Yes it takes time but the small screws do break easy . Remember that you don't want to over tighten the screws obviously as they are small and don't require lots of torque to do what they need to do. If your rim has a back ring , a center ring , front ring , and a beauty ring ( outside ring on the front that accents the main wheel ) i will assemble the beauty ring to the front ring first and then proceed with the above install process. I hope this helps you ... Thank you for checking iut my channel . The qr code was cumbersome to scan , I thought this video would be valuable for others who had troubles with it. Here is a new tip i just figured out that I recommend doing. Replace the little wire that holds the assemblies together in the sides for material cut out from sewing push pins. The thin metal wire is too soft and has a tendency to straiten out and fall out wich allows the ratchets to fall apart. A push pin fits the little holes just right and is more ridgid.

How do I install a motor on this unit? I'm missing a step somewhere
@rccustomcreations7 ай бұрын
To install the motor you have to remove a screw from the top of the transmission and one from the bottom that hold the front motor plate and sun gear out of the front of the transmission. On your motor if it is painted you may have to sand or file then paint off the front bearing housing that goes into the motor plate if the motor wont go in the center hole all the way. ( if your using a brushed motor ) Next step is to i stall your transmission supplied pinion gear. ( not changable for other pinions with more or less teeth) this step is a bit of trial and error . Place your pinion gear into the motor shaft and lightly tighten the grub screw so thag the gear can still slide on the shaft but with slight friction. This is so that once you get the motor seated onto thenplate you can now temporarily install the motor plate and sun gear back into the transmission. ( all your trying to do right now is set the gear to the proper spot-on the shaft) yiu can remove the 3 little gears for this step but do need the plate with the 3 pins for the gears still installed in the transmission. You will have a large washer looking thing . Leave that out of the transmission for now. When have the sungear and the motor plate pushed all the way into the transmission. Carefully pull it back out and trh not to move the pinion gear. Once you have the assembly removed , carefully tap the face of the pinion gear onto the shaft abiut half a mm more toward the body of your motor and then fully tighten your grub screw. If you have not installed your motor screws yet then do so but make sure they are not to long . If they are too long you may damage your motor. Now install your 3 gears if you removed them . Llace the large washer on top of the 3 gears and then install the motor plate into the transmission This can take patience as you will have tonplau with gear alignment on all 3 gears if i recall correctly. Once you get all that installed , you need to install the screws into the top and bottom of the transmission that were first removed. Pro tip... the two threaded screw holes on the front face of the transmission ... after your motor is installed take 2 screws with a washer on each and install those into those two holes. 4mm or 5mm long screws should work ( the goal is to get the washers to tighten io to the facenof the transmission. The washers on each side of the motor plate will help eliminate the side to side play that can happen under normal use ,this play can burn your motors up premature. If this helps you let me know. If you rather watch a video . Give me a couple days and i will record a install video

Thank you for subscribing and leaving a comment and checking out my channel. The pov footage can be tricky to do at times but it always is worth doing. I am still designing different, what I consider quick mounts for the go pros. The three pov views in this video used a magnetic base, a magnetic base and long arm to extend to the side of the truck and then a clamping mount for the trailer. I try my best to not have any cameras in view of the video recordings wich is very hard to do if the cameras are hard mounted. The side arm needs a bit more work but it is almost perfect. I do want to get a permanent go pro to mount into the cab of this truck but that will take some doing for sure.
