Finally upgrades for the glacier. I so far only installed a 2 speed gear box. Now time for metal upgrades. Thank you for the video

I used the cr18p Evo gear box. It comes with everything to mount it. Minor trimming is needed. Or if you do a body lift even less trimming. Now keep in mind I have plastic frame rails on the glacier. The trans tunnel on the passenger side is where the trimming is needed. I ended up gluing the shift servo on the driver side corner closest to the cab on the bed. Underneath of course and made a shift linkage from servo to transmission. Doing this changes the driveshaft length both of them. They need to be shorter. Since there is no place to mount servo to the frame, it makes dissembly a pain due to the shift linkage. I enjoy having the two speed. Hope this helps. Don't hesitate if you have ?'s. I'm fairly new to section of the hobby. So what I learn I hope I can share with everyone. Thank you again. I subscribed to your channel. Thank you for time and great content.keep up the good work.

Thank you very much for leaving such a detailed comment on what all you did to get a 2 speed installed into your truck. That sounds like a lot of work , so i am happy it all worked out for you in the end. Hopefully, you won't have to disassemble your truck any time soon. Haha. I would love to see some pictures of your build. If you have any . I have a face book page as well that i invite builders to share what they are building. The link for thatbpage is ...m.facebook.com/groups/327053233316821/?ref=share&mibextid=NSMWBT You mentioned that your new to this section of the hobby, do you mean the custom building or this size of the hobby? Thank you very much for subscribing to my channel and taking the time to check it out :)

The time spent as to all the hard work for this project is over the top A+ my friend.and the parts,the upgrades and the math is not something that comes easy for these kind of trucks dew to them being a licensed rc vehicle.it's like starting from scratch peirce by peirce.i hope you get alot more credit. You deserve it and thanks for your time and sharing the knowledge to inspire others to have a bullet proof build,Awesome

I read your comment a couple of times now , i did not respond right away because i dont have an appropriate answer other than thank you for your very kind words. Its comments like yours motivate me to put together another video or take down a old build that i have lost motivation in completing for what ever reason. Thank you for noticing that builds like these take extra work for various reasons. The biggest dilemma i had with the fms k10 was the lack of advertised for fms k10 parts that are compatible. I have spent well over $1000.00 cnd on parts to try on this build and most of wich are in spare parts boxes due to incompatibility reasons or needed to be modified to work , which was not what i wanted to do. My goal was direct bolt on components and i feel like 95 percent of this build is considered " direct bolt on " . This truck took me about 1 year to complete from start to finish. I am now going to hive the same treatment to the fms k5 blazer and the traxxas trx4m high trail trucks. If you havent all ready , please do subscribe. I think you did all ready and if you have , thank you. If you know anyone building a fms k10 / eazyrc glacier / fms toyota hilux / and i think the fms magnum . These complonets used in this build are cross compatible between all those trucks . So please share the videos if you wish to. And if you have any questions . Ask away . Once again . Thank you very much for your comment .

I drilled and pyt the bumpers on the body they look real good two with the lift and 62mm tires
@rccustomcreations Жыл бұрын
That was also a good option for the bumpers. What tires did you use that are 62mm

Those tires look fantastic. Do they hook up well?
@lesabre1972 Жыл бұрын
They hook up well enough I had to go with metal gears in the gear box and I also put them on -7 offset beadlock wheels wichgives it a nice stance and I lifted the body.@@rccustomcreations

I'd like to do this to the Glacier! I love all the better features on the K10, but prefer the blue paint job.
@rccustomcreations Жыл бұрын
All these components are compatible with the glacier and toyota hilux. I want to get a glacier and do a stock vs full mod comparison. I dont think the difference between a glacier and k10 stock would change the handling between one another to give false reports. 🤔 thank you for leaving a comment . And if you wish to see more content about this truck in the future . Please feel free to subscribe or check back in any time.

Oh yeah, I subscribed already. I think the Glacier has cheaper electronics, stuff like that.. But I really like the look of it.@@rccustomcreations

Your probably right about the electronics. Awesome thank you for the sub:) are the frame rails on the glacier plastic ? Perhaps ill buy another k10 for the comparison. And later turn it brushless. Time will tell what i do for a comparison vid in the future
@MysticRiverRC Жыл бұрын
I think the underpinnings of the Glacier are all the same. I've seen other comparison vids which has held me off from getting one just yet. @@rccustomcreations

Is there a special website on the internet where I can get everything off as a package? Looks super sturdy now!

Unfortunately you have to buy from multiple locations for the complete set up . I will respond to your other message tonight when i have time to properly respond .

I ordered metal axles off of Amazon that match up but i can’t get the axles to go in the c hubs any tips?
@rccustomcreations10 ай бұрын
If i recall these axles are keyed to only go one way on the axle ( right side up or upside down ) are the hubs too tight. Have you tried to file the edges of the axle housings where the c hubs slip over ? Perhaps there is some burs from machini g. Same goes with the inside openings of the c hubs. If that doesnt seem to be the issue . Are the c hubs just to tight to slip on. If so you may be able to slip the blade of a flat head screw driver in the slit of the clamping part of the c hub. Give the handle of the screw driver a gentle bump with a hammer and hope the blade of the screw driver will spread the clamp open a bit more. Myself i never had issues like that so my input is just what i would be looking at trying for myself if i were in your position
