There are hundreds of videos showing people taking many hours to burn stumps down to ground level where it would make much more sense to use a hatchet to remove the bark in a ring at or slightly below ground level (to get rid of grit), and then use a chainsaw by plunge cutting from that ring downwards towards a central point in the middle of the stump below ground level. That would give you a conical hole to fill with earth. You could also slice into the remaining ring of wood to hold water and help rot it away, again using downward sloping plunge cuts, but being careful not to go beyond the wood so as to protect the chain. (Make sure you know how to start a plunge cut without kickback though - don't just try to stab it straight in as there's a high risk of cutting you leg off.)

Yeah my grandpa basically said that Ball started making worse seals so you had to re-buy lids, but that you clean them and soak them and you can reuse them. If it doesn't seal, you'll see it when you take them out because of the button so don't freak out about it

In another video ("Ground Rod Explained" by the Engineering Mindset), they say for ground faults, the grounding rod needs to conduct back to the source, therefore you also need a grounding rod on your mains Neutral! The resistance between the rods should be high. For lightning, both rods will be energized and will dissipate into the earth. However, there's a YT video ("Ground Rod Resistance" by Northwest Lineman College) that explains the resistance between the rod and ?? needs to be LOW? The deeper the grounding rod, the LOWER the resistance. I just want to ground my bed sheets, perhaps grounding into the dirt just a couple feet will be enough?

I live in NE Oklahoma at the Kansas and Missouri lines. I live on a mile of river bank. We have pileated woodpeckers. I think the river has a lot of reason why they are around. Sometimes they come up close but often I get to hear them. KZbin has videos of their calls. I have sat out on the deck and played the videos and they have come to investigate or looking for love. I can hear them as they answer the call from the videos also. It’s pretty cool. Try the videos to see if they work for you. The suet they like, that I make is the beef tallow. I melt it down and the parts that don’t melt all the way is their favorite. The ingredients I use in their cakes have dried insects like meal worms, dried corn and fruit. I have seen them on my regular cakes but I think they are looking for the tallow ones. I have even just put straight tallow out for them but only in the winter and not more than they will possibly eat in a day. Don’t leave it out because it will attract other bigger animals as well. I put the tallow outside my front door. If they want it they will come looking for it and they aren’t too afraid.

I have a bigger one, I love it. It burns much hotter if you use small pieces of wood. Once it's really hot, there is essentially no smoke.

I did your method, but in the instapot... I used the yogurt setting on" low" for 24 hours after I skimmed off all the cream from the raw milk. Then I used the yogurt function again at the "normal" setting and strained the Curds and got the same end product with less guesswork. I will never buy store-bought ever again! Thank you for your video!

yes in MO. Several years ago on my way to work I saw a black lion? panther? puma? laying across a round hay bail. I was pushing being late for work. I really wish I would have stopped and taken a picture. In Cape County.

My sister and brother in law own a campground. He saw a huge cat once that stared at him a while. He aaked if I thought it might be a cougar. I asked if the tail on it was short or long. He said short so I said it was a bobcat. They can get pretty big sometimes. I saw a video of a bobcat killing a deer once. Could those be bobcat tracks ?

Thanks for this. I was also wondering once they pop up from here, but aren't quite ready for their 5 gallon home yet (in 4" pots now), if you stake seedling with a small bamboo stick or alike for support?

that's way too dangerous, and liable to set your whole property on fire. It would only take a good gust of wind to blow hot coals or sparks onto nearby grass or trees.

I like the idea, and I am worried about my stump is next to the timber fence. The fire could light the fence and then the house. We don’t have a big land like you guys. And I hear news for bushfires every year during the season. Looking for a safe solution.

Maybe I have extra strong fingers, but I just wrap my hand like a claw over the top of the jar and pry the lid with two or three fingers. I can't think of anything more gentle. I reuse lids, especially when the contents to be canned is high acid or a jam or jelly.

Yeah the 2nd method seems like it chokes the fire. Don't think the greenness is that significant. I have a similar thing happen if I start my burn barrel with too much material inside and/or if I dont clean out the ashes in my trench underneath the barrel. Your wife is a fire master and you have a homestead. She's definitely a keeper 😊

Was thinking you could use the chainsaw to make the side holes with the 2nd method. I don't have that drill bit so I might just use chainsaw for all those holes. Love the air feed chimney effect.
