The important souvenirs are your own memories. I generally don't buy kitsch. I collect tickets, take photos ...Many people also make the mistake of only visiting the big cities. In Franconia, the medium-sized cities such as Würzburg, Bamberg, Bayreuth, etc. and everything in between are particularly interesting.
@francoforte47885 ай бұрын
The founders, Frederic and Gerrit, wants to give everyone the opportunity to see this. So, around Christmas there is always a special offer. If you can't afford the ticket, you just have to say this at the counter and you get it for free. Show me any other attraction that does this. 🙂 Greets from a Hamburg resident 🖖

Strategy for filming!! Many museums in Germany do not want people filming - Wunderland asks you to film and share the results on social media... And congrats - you managed the biggest hurdle for visitors from far away, you ordered the ticket online 👍

The castle was so expensive, so that the German emperor was able to bribe the Bavarian king to allow the German unification. Germany was united and the Bavarian king was able to finance his castles

The history of the dude that build the castle makes the castle interesting. And then the reasons and stories of the paintings inside the castel ;) The mad King Ludwig the second. Its a true crime story basically.

I believe the Dungeon in the Armors Store is an actual dungeon or the entrance to one. Very common in that region. In Bayreuth were I live half the city has a dungeon beyond it with onyl a few places being able to enter the whole thing. :) My favourite Bar the Folie Douce in Bayreuth is basically in the dungeon and she has an entrance technically, but you cant go in there anymore. The brewerie has open entrances to miles of dungeon below the city PS: I will never get the Snowball Dough things :D Some people like em, but its just dough. Considering germanys great bakerys I dunno why thos became a thing

Iam pretty sure the little parade was a local "shooting club march" not sure how to translate that. Also obviously hunters in the clubs. :D Basically people shooting as a sport. It has a looooong tradition in almost every city or village. With a parade and a shooting contest. The contest usually consists of a wooden eagle up on a huge pole (at least in my region) and whoever hits the head wins or something like that. The winner will then be picked up by the parade at his home one day or so and then they go drink beers. There is also the "Schützenfest" (Shooting Fest) in a lot of places which is kinda like Octoberfest or a state fair with rides and beers and food and the marching bands of the region. Just some traditional Beerfest thing. So id guess you saw one of the marches of a shooting club :) PS: Hamburg has around 2500 Bridges which is even more than Venice and the most bridges in a city in Europe

You are such a great family and your videos are fun to watch. Just one thing: To avoid light flickering in indoor scenes you should set your camera fps and shutter speed to local power frequency conditions. In Germany or Europe its mostly 25 or 50 fps and 1/50 or 1/100 shutter speed (as power frequency is 50Hz) - while in the US its common to use 30/60 fps and 1/60 or 1/120 shutter speed (for 60Hz power frequency).

Entrances to German castles are often coming from the right, because most men are right handed, holding their sword in the right hand, so attacking from this side means your arms hand is on the inside, which makes fighting less advantageous for the attacker.
