The Kangaroo got changed in 2022 and the Paratrooper got removed for that ride!

They removed the Kagaroo and Paratrooper at the same time, but brought back the Kangaroo the following year due to popular demand.

What made my day about this change of conneaunt lake Park of the entrance that got rid of the crazy traffic it is hard to get to the rides restroom and to the midway. It was hard with cars, trucks and semi trucks coming thru made it hard to get across the street. I am so glad of these changes that rid of it of the traffic and made it safer for the kids to get to the rides as well

Thank you for bringing back the coobse. I sure do miss the coobse in the of the train. Any way thank you so much for bringing back the coobse and all trains should have the coobse in the back of the train

What wonderful footage of Kennywood's original "Laser Loop". I remember when that opened up. I've ridden quite a few of the Anton Schwartzkopf shuttle loops when they existed.

This was one of two only Tumble Bugs left at the time... Who knows, Kennywood might be next, it is possible for the Tumble Bug at Conneaut and maybe Chippewa Lake's Tumble Bug to be restored, while the others are long gone.

Oh wow... The LASER LOOP. I was too small to ride this when it existed here in Pittsburgh... sadly, I doubt Ill be driving to the Canadian border just to ride this. Kennywood should have kept this AND the Kangaroo... Those were like... the SOUL of that park.

I can confirm after my first National Carousel Association Convention, that yes, they still “dance” on the platforms, and the horses look better than ever with shiny new restorations.

About how they talk about a couple of parks had miniature trains, there are some that have 3 foot narrow gauge trains, even Cedar Point park has a 3 foot narrow gauge railroad, I saw it on an episode of the TV show Tracks Ahead

I think it would be super cool if the park were to be rebuilt. A revived Cascade Park would likely be Bushkill-esque, hopefully it would eventually include a coaster using Comet's footers but that's probably a pipe dream.

The swimming pool closed a long time ago now. I went there in the late 80's. The little waterfall you showed, people to this day jump off that into the water below. When I was a kid I was to chicken to do it. LOL The big event that happens each year there is the Back to the 50's. Also, in the winter they decorate the whole park and you pay admission to drive your car thru it. Good job on the video!

I see why it closed down. There's nobody there. The mostly empty rides are pretty sad. And that haunted mansion looks like the same ride they use at mobile carnivals. Unlike Kennywood (in Pittsburgh) Conneaut Lake really isn't near anything major. It's a bit of a drive to get there for a third-rate park. People from Pitt would have to drive much farther than if they wanted to go to Kennywood, which is clearly better in every way. People in Cleveland could drive just as far West to go to Cedar Point. No brainer. This park was not sustainable. Bad location. Doomed.

Central air conditioning killed CLP. People from Pgh used to come in droves on weekends to escape the summer heat in the city. Many had cottages and boats to enjoy water skiing and just cruising the lake. Not to mention getting away from the steel mills and the smoke. The world has turned.
