@@greenbrownblue Yeah, in the middle of their fight Solas angrily says something along the lines of June making the eluvians and Sylaise building their cities. That splendor would never be brought back with the blight. I remember it clear as day.

I know retcon is a popular term being thrown around atm , but I think even some employees at Bioware explained that they specifically used words like guided or whispered to indicate that previous antagonists still made their own choices. Executors are also not anything new, right? We knew that there were mysterious groups outside of Thedas and that not all races were in Thedas originally :)! This ending allows for another DA game to exist and it doesn't change lore or narrative. I think it's just that ppl are riding a fast and furious negativity train for now. It will pass ^^

​@greenbrownblue I'll be honest, I completely forgot about the executors, I haven't played Inquisition as much as the first two. I still think it's unnecessary to have them involved in Loghain and Bartrand's decisions at all. I didn't totally hate The Veilguard, but the criticisms it has received are completely valid and I'd be lying if I said I had high hopes for a 5th installment

@daisyfinley3434 I feel you. The game is pretty bad considering it was developed by Bioware. And 100% agreed that the company deserves a lot of criticism. The secret ending definitely steers the story in a new direction, and not everybody is gonna warm up to it right away. It still fits though is what I meant. If you are a fan of ME / DA lore I hope you give this game another try eventually. There are some things that were well done. Cinematics for example. And the lore is still so freaking interesting. Haven't read even half of the codex entries yet, but so far I see no major contradictions. There are a couple small stretches or new interpretations of previous info. Something worth discussing in a video, but really nothing major. The whole retcon drama was created so people can get clicks on their videos and articles.

Wait, is it actually or just being negative? While the game has a ton of overly childish moments and does have terrible writing, this scene is not exactly a kid show. And that was the whole point. Praising what works for the game and criticize what doesn't. Not criticize everything from A to Z :/

There is this moving conversation Rook has with the Inqusitor where she says that she feels like Solas was leaving hints for her because deep inside he wanted to be stopped and change. That's how Varric managed to find Solas and stop him from performing the ritual.

Yea, I am extremely happy we got anything at all. For people who romanced Solas , this is good closure. And it's very possible he might reappear in the next DA games coz none of the endings kill Solas.

I’m not gonna disagree with ya. It IS a little weak, but it’s still a good story for someone like Davrin. Plus I’m an animal lover at heart and I can’t say that Assan didn’t earn like 100% of my favor by the time I finished his quest. You can’t say no to a face like that, cmon!!

Dragon age the Veilguard

Ghilan'nain is El'garnan's sister. Made me gasp when he called her sister. It's quite interesting. What I wonder is are the other five alive? Probably not due to the fact their archdemon was killed during the blights. But what of the other Magister Sidereal? Like we know about the Architect and Corypheus but the other magisters haven't been revealed.

Yea but it's a saturation problem. With the Veil up then there's only a small amount crossing over whereas with it down EVERYTHING on that side of the looking glass comes through Basically rather than having a couple thousand spirits/demons here and there at any given time there are now MILLIONS of them EVERYWHERE all at once hence the issue of this game.

@AxlSerrano I get that. But the veil is relatively new so what was the world like before. from the loredemons weren't attacking everyone before the veil went up. Going back to the way the world was originally can't be bad.

​@@genechanloui Yes it was like that once upon a time but that was a fair bit of time ago, the current environment is NOT built for that right now. The world as it is right now is used to the "here and there" situation with spirits but reintroduce the "all the spirits, everywhere, all the time" then chaos. The dominant religion on the planet actively considers such a state as THE worst case scenario so it's a guarantee that there will be a widespread anarchy as the world effectively goes into a war footing believing themselves at siege and with the experience of DA:I in living memory then it won't just be a regular war, everyone will treat it as a war for extinction so they'll fight to the bitter end. Take into account how such a conflict can affect spirits via extensive suffering a la Justice/Anders then it turns into a feedback loop that will escalate the conflict's scale, viciousness and lethality. Best case scenario is that the population will get low enough that the energy generated will not sustain the level of tenacity from the spirit's side slowly letting the war die down leaving a mostly empty wasteland bathed in the blood of MOST of the world. If they escalate hard enough then it's a 50/50 chance of full on extinction for the regular people or just a 40k daemon world. TLDR: world's fucked hard due to the sudden reintroduction of spirits to the world
