My favorite part was 13:40... you took me deep to straightaway center... so the next pitch was a Nolan Ryan brushback pitch... high and tight 😂😂😂

I was thinking the same...it's ingrained in your muscle fibers to respond after I figured out the missile launch codes off you. It's amazing how far the baseball will carry when you get that backspin on it.

Pure filth... broken bats on them changes bro... I need to see some pickoff footwork mixed in tho... and holding the ball for 1,2,3,4,5 seconds...this is the key to keeping them wondering... why Is he waiting... the minute u make them think... then u have them beat 😉

Yes I need to vary my hold times.But I think I got the game sold on this nabbing runners situation, as long as I can find a catcher who has a pop time of 2.2-2.4 consistently (MLB starters are sitting 1.9-2.0). Dazzo on the Astros can do it. But anyway, add it up: the catcher's 2.4 + my 1.2-1.3 seconds to deliver to the pitcher (fastest in the MLB are around 1.2), if the catcher can get a good throw down we'll get anyone who can't get to 2nd in under 4 seconds. Sasquatch does it in 3.8, Moose on the 'Canes is 3.5. I bet Moose has never been picked off in the HHBL. Hey but next week either Thanksgiving Day or Friday de Negra let's get together, you bring your gear I'll throw you the changeup bullpen.
@B.J.Galvan22 күн бұрын
@albertvandellen4101 that's a fact... u have gotten quick to the plate... and that is key... but mixing up ur hold times and showing moves (u don't even have to throw over... u can nab runners and get outs on the paths... VALUE!!! A deceptive move to 3rd u could kill them... so many easy outs when u learn that move. Just angle ur starting point and start throwing to the net to practice ur moves

@@B.J.Galvan Yeah I've been keeping that 3b pickoff in my pocket. You know how some runners start running home like halfway as soon as the pitcher begins the windup... Hey but I remember about 3 yrs ago you told me everybody in the league talks about I'm easy to steal on (I never used quick pitch back then). That's when I decided I"m going with quick pitch every delivery, runners on or no. That made it easiest for me to master the one delivery-it's hard enough to throw strikes with all the movement I get. Good stuff bro.

You should try slowing down the pitching machine or stand further back if possible. You’re kinda hanging back on your back foot and not driving through the ball. It’s hard to tell if this is your natural swing or if you’re just doing it to compensate for being late on the ball. You’re also kinda getting jammed and not getting your arms extended but this might also be due to being late. Not hating just trying to help. Prolly good to wear a helmet too just in case.
@albertvandellen410129 күн бұрын
I really appreciate the feedback. Well so I don't hardly get many ABs in the few games I play in, so it's mostly all pitching machine training for me. And at this place I can stand maybe 4' further back, but then I don't get a good shot with my camera. I've had like 50 ABs in my lifetime in a game with umpires. But I've got dingers on my bucket list, and most fields I play on aren't more than 330' anywhere, so I think it's going to happen.
@petsquirrelable29 күн бұрын
@@albertvandellen4101 ya the pitching machines are hard to get the timing down because the ball just shoots out suddenly but it’s good for getting reps in for hand eye coordination practice. If you can back up a foot so you have slightly more time to get your weight shifted forward a bit more and pivoting around front foot that will give you more power and the extra time will allow you to get your arms extended out in front of you. Both of those will give you more power and be hitting bombs in no time. Live at bats are definitely the best practice once you have the technique and hand eye coordination locked in from the pitching machine.

kzbin.info/www/bejne/b2nZoWhjoa9repI Love the work but this drill would significantly help your bat path. You are dropping your hands into the zone creating a steep swing angle downwards, this means your timing has to be impeccable to hit a line drive. The drill will flatten your swing out on plane and the fly balls and grounders will be hit harder and chances of line drive will be greater.
@albertvandellen4101Ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing the link. I'm going to try this drill. Someone else a couple months back suggested I try the same drill, but I forgot all about it. I'm gonna order me a Chuckit! toy now.

I love this videos but I have been thinking about this, after your load you kind of just drop your hands into the ball with good timing, I highly recommend taking a look at the chuck it dog toy drills with the tennis ball to get a better bat path through the ball rather than the chopping down action.

And can anyone figure out the correct way to use "passed" in that sentence? I wanted to write "past," but then I thought the baseball will pass the wall, it will go way passed it. But the time I'll have done it will be in the past. "The ball went past the fence" feels right, but I don't that will be writing it right.

All y’all telling him to not drop his shoulder are a bunch of people who don’t know how to hit. If you watch literally all the greats, they all drop they shoulder to tilt to the ball, not push the barrel to the knob. Please go watch teacherman cause I guarantee y’all ain’t gonna play college with that kind of shitty swing.
@lucasmahini4 ай бұрын
bro comparing this swing to mlb players is crazy. So what if some great players do drop their shoulder, it doesn’t mean anything. For him, not dropping his shoulder is one of the most simple and effective things to do for where he’s at, just because a few mlb players do it doesn’t mean that he should. If he wants to improve, working on that is definitely something he should consider.
@albertvandellen41014 ай бұрын
I don't understand what's wrong with dropping my shoulder. I don't drop the shoulder to hit strikes high in the zone, my bat bath doesn't require the dip then. But balls coming in low in the zone, for me to get the sweet spot of my bat on a low and inside pitch-how am I supposed to barrel that ball if I don't dip my shoulder? I would have to really squat low with my knees? It just feels easier to do it like I'm doing. If you look at Mike Trout's scouting video from HS, he's dipping his shoulders the same then as he does today (well, on the IL today). We can compare my swing to HS players before they were MLB greats.

I'm not sure how to word this without sounding like an A-hole. You hit the ball well. Stay in your swing and don't stand up and you'll have all that lower half behind the ball. You're standing up in the swing. It's causing your back foot to finish flat. You don't want that. Use your leverage homie. Keep it up man.
