This is so funny because I tried to go to 7-11 and the first time, I was asked if I wanted a bag. I didn’t know, but then I learnt from a friend that the keyword “fukuro” means if I wanted a bag. Second day, I went back to the conbini. I was confident, but instead of Fukuro, the cashier said “atatamemasuka?” Which at the time, I didn’t understand. 😭 My friend said she asked if I wanted to heat up my food. 3rd day, I’m waiting for “fukuro” or “atatame”, but then she said “pointokado”, 😢. But now I got it! I think 😂 This happened to me years ago, but your video covered it all and really brought back memories ❤.

This is very pleasant way of practicing both Japanese and English together. At the same time we could practice Hiragana and Katakana together with Kanji. Since I am listening from Toronto, Canada It is very good format to practice both language with very joyful way. I am originally from Korea. We used to learn Kanji, 漢字 at school so I understand most of Kanji and in many cases pronounces are very similar. I just started to learn Japanese 6 months ago but to me Japanese is much easier compared with Other Western languages as Korean an Japanese is very similar in many ways. I want to speak with local Japanese people when I visit next planned visit to Japan in coming October. I am 77 years old senior but still want to learn somethings. Thank you for very useful posting to learn Japanese.

Really helpful video, but I'm curious if you really have to answer so many questions when buying something there. If I had to talk that much (in any language) at a checkout I would never go shopping again. 😅
