I have a 2015 Mazda 6 2.2 Diesel, and the check engine light (CEL) keeps coming on constantly, even though the vacuum pump has been replaced, the intake manifold has been cleaned, a software update has been performed, and the mass air flow (MAF) sensor has been replaced three times. Despite all this, the CEL is still on. The error code is P0101, and I suspect it could be caused by a faulty sensor. What could be the issue? Can you help me?

Have the same problem on my 2011 Touran, trust my luck this hasn’t solved it. What is the next thing to check with same 123 not blowing fault?

I always mark before I take off the old belt, I have done one of these without the special tools recently and it was a disaster trying to hold the camshafts and put the belt on, I used a 30 mm ring spanner to tighten the tensioner, I will not be doing another one without the locking tool. Best video I've found so far on this problem, I had similar fault codes but one code highlighted my fuel pressure sensor. After changing fuel pressure sensor code pointing towards fuel pressure regulator came up this is on a 2013 Hilux 3L D4D engine. Thank you so much for posting this video it is the best I've found 🙏

Thanks Gerard. I've read tips of a DPF cleaning company and they say than a turbo that is underperforming could also lead to DPF problems if customer continue to drive with underperforming turbocharger. Not talking about turbo oil leaks. They state that sometime car would drive bad but not generate a turbo fault so customer will continue driving like than which in the end leads not only the turbo needs rebuilding and the actuator solenoid valve recalibration , but a failed DPF than also needs to be sent to specialist because it cannot be cleaned other way. Ever heard of this? Ive never heard of this,theres always a DTC generated when turbo is underperforming and thr vehicle goes Limp mode. 😃

I'll try these methods. I had the correct tool, but it just wouldn't budge. I feared I would break something , I skipped the filter on the last oil change which is not like me.

Cleaning them in situ is great,,But it doesn't get rid of the Ash,,That stays in the dpf,,The added benefit of off car cleaning,,Is this flushes out not only the soot but the ash also,,,

Yes while that may be true I still don't see the initial justification of all the additional labour, time loss and cleaning costs of the off car cleaning. If the on vehicle cleaning plus extensive driving doesn't do enough I would then move on to next best option. From the many I have done I have found it to greatly reduce soot accumulation and leave the vehicles fault free with no issues. There are other options of on car cleaning that may also be considered, Launch has a cleaner that has great results also. If the vehicle can't get temps hot enough in the exhaust then no matter what clean is done the soot will return. Understanding the systems and following correct passive regeneration process is key in having a long term fix using with this method. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment 🙌🙏

Oooo....disgusting dirty noisy smelly diesels...yet another reason to steer clear of them with alllll their extra bs & dramas ......I'll just stick with my dual fuel intech...it's not real quick or powerful. ..but it just keeps going & going & a complete dummy like me can keep it going super cheap. .. but thanx Ger...we use your vidz at work constantly 👍😛

The socket adapter is called a "Shake n' Break" or a "Pneumatic Bolt Breaker" ... my mechanic introduced me to them the day before yesterday... ended up ordering the same hammer as you have there. I'm a buy once, cry once kinda guy. I didn't want to buy a $30 pos, so snagged this for $100. I have some glow plugs to remove on my ol 91 F250 7.3idi. I really don't want to risk busting one off. So I've blasted out the valleys with compressed air and have sprayed em down with Deep Creep while the engine was warm. I'll give em another spray next time the engine is hot and when all the things I need to do the job get here I'm going to very carefully remove those glow plugs! 🙏🤞🏻. To anyone reading this and thinking about buying the Shake n Break... do it! Unlike an impact, it doesn't imbue any torque on the bolt (potentially shearing it). It just hits it, removing rust and assisting the penerating oil into the threads. With your offhand you imput just how much crank you want on that bolt. So your inherent instincts will, hopefully, prevent you from an accidental shear and a huge headache. I think these tools will be worth their weight in gold... even though I'll very rarely need it... but I will NEED it. Just think about all the stubborn bolts you've come across in your life that have caused yer arse to pucker!

I also had a stuck oil filter housing. It wouldn't budge, but after reading some of the suggestions on here I got it. I took my heat gun and warmed up the filter and surrounding area. Tapped on it with a large screwdriver and hammer (lightly), and it cam off easily after that . Thanks for all the good ideas!

Did the test on the MAFS, car stayed running. Bought a new after market one, installed it and had the same problem. 😢

Thx for sharing. I have an 11th Corolla s with 6m/t. I was driving it home and suddenly it died. It would fire up and instantly die, like this. Threw like six codes. I was an idiot and didn’t write down all the codes, just cleared them. Started it again and it run for a few seconds then died. Only two codes came back, codes for the intake and exhaust VVT solenoids. Replaced them. Now it starts and runs fine, idles for like 40, 45 minutes, then shuts off. Now there are four codes, that’s seem unrelated. Those two, plus one for knock sensor, and I forget the last one. I’ll have to look it up. Seems like when the engine warms up, it cuts out. Weird. Any ideas?

I have same issue with mazda 5 2006, both half axles have free play but little bit. I didnt think its the problem till now and ewerything else is ok no free play anywhere else

Spot on! Worked first try on my Astra J Sports Tourer. Had all but the drivers door stuck did one of the rear ones and it worked for all 3. Guess there was an issue with the sensor to engage the latch with the handles. Thanks for the share!

if in UR country auto parts manufacturers are supplying new piston, sliding pins , pins boots then lot better to purchase entire new caliper # in my country Pakistan Toyota & auto parts manufacturer do not supply piston or entire caliper or any other parts #👍
