Do you have to pass TEAS to get your registired nurse license

Indirectly… You need either the TEAS or the HESI exam to get accepted into nursing school.

This is so REAL…. I started on ICU, but the educator was on maternity leave and they didn’t replace her!!! So I can relate to the ups and downs of ICU. So, to save my license I LEFT that hospital ✌🏾. I’ve been in an ORTHO unit with a new grad program in place. I am also going to give it a year, gain some experience & see how I feel. Pray for me as I will be praying for you. 🙏🏾

Very informative video and good luck in the ICU I personally was shell shocked during my clinical rotation in the ICU but it definitely showed me that I could never work in that unit due to the tone and desensitization of the nurses

@@chiamakamaryann9915 hi! I worked a few different jobs while I was in nursing school. Most were in healthcare administration. I was an assistant administrator at a nursing and rehab center. What about clinical? I was told you may go 150 miles away to do clinical? That’s crazy😢
@theluckienurse
@theluckienurse 6 күн бұрын
@@LindaPulido-z8z Clinical will not be that far away. In general, clinical sites will typically be within a certain mile radius of your campus. The farthest that I had to travel for clinicals was I’m about 70 miles from my house… But the hospital was only 40 miles away from campus. So it is possible that you will have to travel far for a clinical site, but that is only if you live far away from your campus, and the clinical site is going in the opposite direction.

What is your job title in your WFH Healthcare Administration role? I plan on going for my RN later but would like to earn a Bachelors in Healthcare administration for now. I’m currently an LVN. Unfortunately, the time is not right for me to go for my RN at the moment. I’m also Liberian, and you make us proud. I hope you respond to my message.

Thank you for this video, it is very helpful. (I am doing an assistant social nursing course and I am learning how to take the blood pressure at the moment, I am located in Hungary where social and health care nursing are integrated in my role, so I study social care as well as nursing skills). I wonder if I can ask you a "number reading" question, somewhere I saw a video explaining about the momanometer unit marks: it shows only even numbers, therefore we can only record even numbers on the patient record when reading the units. How would you advise? Many thanks, Emese
@theluckienurse
@theluckienurse 18 күн бұрын
Thank you for watching! The unit marks for a manual blood pressure are in increments of two, so you can only get even numbers. When I recorded the video for this manual blood pressure reading, I did not realize that you could only get even numbers if you were doing a manual reading, but you can get odd numbers if you have an automatic cuff. Although I am demonstrating taking the blood pressure with a manual cuff, the simulation that I used was simulating an electric cuff, which is why I got an odd number. I am sorry for the confusion!

Hey! Helpful video, I am going to be getting my bachelors in finance and then my masters in health care administration. Do you think starting in finance would be a successful route also? or should I get my bachelors in health communications ( my uni doesnt have health administration major)
@theluckienurse
@theluckienurse 18 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching! My personal opinion would be to go with a bachelors degree in finance instead of a bachelors degree in health communications. Finance is a lot more broad, and will make you more marketable. If you already plan on getting a masters degree in healthcare administration, then by the end you’ll already have a healthcare related degree anyway. Hope this helps!
