you need to assign the RT as accelerate in the in-game menu. Go to option>controls>assign RT as accelerate axis or whatever it is.

Try this. Open steam big picture mode > library > select ETS > manage game (left side 2nd option) > controller options > select "Forced on". The game should recognize your controller after this.

for throttle etc, u have to map them in the game itself. The settings won't help with that.

@@katzarkul Bro, I don't understand what you mean by that. But for me, the steering axis the Left Stick X-axis. Also, if you don't make changes in the steam controller settings like I showed, your steering with twitchy af (uncontrollable). So, you can't skip steam settings for this to work

@@AJ_25 that's just creepy. He's somehow moving the wheel with a thumbs tick in basically the exact same way racers correct their lines with a wheel. I'm not saying I think it's impossible, but it looks suspicious 😅 Still, both him and you are a few tiers above me and I'm thinking your way of handling the wheel is more realistic for my nervous system than that edge of traction pre-adjustment that he was doing.

Just copy n paste the link (in description) in your browser. If you have steam app open, it'll load the settings in the app and you have to accept the settings to use them.

@@Adycter since it's Logitech and not xbox one controller. Maybe the game is reading the inputs wrongly. Switch back to default steam settings. And try out the steer settings in the game yourself.

In the steam settings, only modify the LS input curve to 0.09

What is the fundamental point in order to successfully ride without an assistant?

I haven't tried that controller, hence don't know how it behaves but the fundamentals should be same bro. Steering assist, I never turned it on since I started the game, so I didn't even know what or how it did affect the driving. You can try these settings and then adjust them as you go.

This is what I currently use. Deadzone 0%, Speed sens 58%, Speed filter 60%, Steer speed 37%, Gamma 2.2, SteerAssist Disabled.
