Great series many thanks for the ongoing videos. Really enjoying them and been following along in EVE.

Nick, that for such great videos, they very informative and in most part, easy to follow. Only issue I am having is I am not seeing any NAT translations on the INTERNET router but the Customers routers can ping the internet and site-to-site networks. Could it be because my g0/0 is getting an IP address in 192.168.x.x private address range?

May I ask why you switched to Eve NG instead of using Gns3
@nickcarlton460413 күн бұрын
Hello, it seems more stable with the NX-OS images. I was having issues in GNS3 where the switches would boot up but the interfaces would all stay “notconnected” or even kernel panic.

hi nick - many thanks for the videos - they're great - could you possibly share the actual ESXi setup & version and how you got the NX-OSv units on there - did you import the OVA's? if so could you provide info on the setup?

Nick, thanks for all your videos; they have been very helpful. I am however having some problem with this particular demo. It would help if you could tell me what configurations currently reside on customer routers, PE1 router and the PE routers. I followed your steps but am not able to get the correct results. My starting point was where you stopped in the earlier videos, which was MPLS with static routes. Thanks for your help.

Great video. It would also be interesting to add on top of this the configuration of: 1) DHCP for one VLAN 2) VPC among two leaf switches.

Good video but the AS for both custA1 and remote site must that be the same if they have to be the same i believe the config should add as allow-in
@nickcarlton46042 ай бұрын
Thanks! That entirely depends on the customers setup and how the provider police it. Sometimes a provider will assign a company an ASN per site and sometimes a single ASN for all sites. But yes depending on the chosen option, you may have to manipulate BGP to stop routes being dropped if using the same ASN across all sites. Hope this helps
@NeverDriveAlone602 ай бұрын
@@nickcarlton4604 The other option would be AS overriding. I think the best MPLSL3VPN is to have freecore BGP rather a mesh BGP. Significantly i believe the purpose of MPLS is to scale wiithout much emphasis on traditional IP routing. However IETF did not fully managed to do it due to the layer 3 standard routing. protocol. MPLS is a great stuff. Current it stops at version 4. There is no breakthru after 4.

Hi I found this is using multicast in vxlan. Could you explain further the difference between unicast and multicast in vxlan? Currently our network is running on unicast worry there will be broadcast storm or flooding when we move to multicast network as we are not experienced.

Hi Nick. i'm trying to do the same with 2 nexus as VTEPs and few Arista as SPINEs. I'm having issues on carving the tcam region on the VTEPs nexus, to allow more arp-ether bandwidth. Every time I carve some space as you have done with the vpc convergence, i copy run start the config and then reload. After the reload is like I never done the carving, it doesn't save this modification. I am running NXOS: version 10.1(1), did you also encounter the same problem?

What do I need to do to be able to let the LAN side (Loopback 0) ping the Internet? I see you can only ping the Internet from the sub-interface that was made.
@nickcarlton4604 Жыл бұрын
You need to achieve this with routing and NAT. So your default route uses the internet subinterface and you NAT to that IP too. Hope this helps
