In Dublin the City Council decided to be PC and call them 'Winter lights' instead of Christmas Lights, but I'll bet once Christmas is over, the lights will be gone even though its still WINTER. Strange how the City Council is keen to mention Lunar NY, Eid and Diwali events....yet Christmas is a no-no. Next big event is St Patricks day, 17 March. In terms of extra business, only the pubs have been busy thru December, the shoppers only kicked off last week and then the Sales start on 26th, though we do have Black Friday/Cyber Monday/TEMU to take away from the traditional post Christmas sales, and anyway ,I think people have nearly everything they need now, more than in the past when stuff was a lot less affordable/available? Happy Christmas.

Merry Christmas, Mike. This video was nice to watch when I got home from mom's house. Thank you for showing the beauty of Korea.

I very much enjoyed Christmas lights and music, good to be cold in winter, otherwise we don't feel Christmas at all...just like in Phoenix, still warm in December. Thanks and Happy Holidays!

I loved the latter part with all the lighted trees and lights. I love everything about Christmas. For me it represents the birth of my beloved Lord and savior. Even though it's not the exact day of birth, it represents it to me. I celebrate Him every day, but Christmas has its special magic. Thank you for sharing this, I enjoyed as usual. Merry Christmas to you and all your loved ones, and have a blessed New Year, may God bless you with favor everywhere you go.

Thank you for the video and happy holidays. Korea is in political meltdown right now in this Xmas season. Also, Xmas is for kids and with birthrate of 0.7, you're going to see fewer kids in those Seoul neighborhoods as time goes by.

in the past, we could feel the vividness and cheerfulness of the christmas season as it drew close, but after the imf crisis, the chrismas vibes, I suppose, have faded away. maybe I'm wrong. it's just a wild guess. anyways, at that time, walking on the main streets, like shinchon, meondong or hongdae, we could easily encounter a decent amount of carol songs. some say it's due to copyright issues on those things. however, I'm not sure. with that being said, merry Christmas mike!! thanks to your channel, I've been able to enjoy myself for a year.

My son is Canadian and living in Busan. Last Christmas he flew home which was so wonderful but this Christmas he is playing Santa and visiting an orphanage in Busan and distributing gifts. You have to find ways of helping other people in order to not feel sad about missing your family. Merry Christmas.

Walking all over London is my favourite thing to do when I get a chance to go home from Canada. It's so easy to walk across the city, as you did. So much to see. So much history. My dad was a tour guide in London after he retired from the City. He knew every nook and cranny and I have continued that habit of popping down alleys etc. In fact my 2 recent trips to very tourist friendly Seoul and Busan were made easier and more fulfilling because of that mind-set. Thanks for giving me a visual top-up.

Thanks! I love walking Seoul, but I only know a small fraction of London. It's a different experience, where there's something new around every corner even on the streets I "know".
