This was a wonderful video. The beautiful walk on top of the tunnel. What I love about Seoul is even though it is so busy and so many people live there, you can find quiet areas of nature. It is a very green city and I love that. Can't wait to return one day. Love your music.
@MikeFromKorea3 ай бұрын
Thank you! Just as I read your comment, my wife was saying something similar to me about the quiet nature spots around the city. We live right next to one. I broached the subject of moving a couple of years ago and she was adamant that we remain because of it.

Thanks! I'm glad, too :-) I hope the weather next summer is more like this year and less like last year. It might be me, but despite a similarity in temperatures, this year was more tolerable than last.

Awesome! I usually plan my trips via KZbin videos as well. Particularly for recommendations on food and adult beverages. Less likely to be disappointed than if I randomly pop in to places.

@@MikeFromKorea I love and enjoyed your vlog. As a Korean who born and grew up in Seoul, I often surprise and pleased when somebody teach me history of my hometown, such as "Mike from Koreai", and "iGoBart". Thank you for bring me to the nice journey!

I believe it would be a disaster to remove the historic alleys within the four gates of Seoul (inside the city walls 사대문안) . Although I'm not entirely satisfied with the current overly commercialized state of Ikseon-dong, I still think it's preferable to having unattractive curtain wall 'officetels'. Thank you very much for the excellent video.

Fun fact only Koreans use metal chopsticks. It’s from old royal tradition of using copper utensils which turns blue if the food is poisoned.

How is your overall health been being in Korea for so long? I'm Korean American. The last time I visited Korea (a decade ago), I lost so much weight and skin got better compare to me being in America right now. It must be the food and environment. 😅
@MikeFromKorea3 ай бұрын
So far so good. I went through a period in my 30s where I was eating too much of the wrong food and not exercising at all. That was probably the worst my health has ever been. Over the past few years, I've cut down on or cut out completely certain unhealthy food habits and stay as active as I can. Korea's overall life expectancy has improved dramatically over the past two decades. I don't know how I fit into that, but it's a good statistic to see.

Does your wife ever go with you on your walks?
@MikeFromKorea3 ай бұрын
Not currently. She did last year, when I walked fewer steps and did it after sunset. Then she hurt her leg when we were on vacation. That was a persistent problem for a while. It's better now, but she's not up for the long walks that I do. She's usually working while I'm walking anyway. But we do walk our dogs together at night, so she gets a little bit of exercise in with me.
