This is common sense and this perfect theory is hard to apply ingame as everything is unpredictable and depends on split second decisions

A question Do you need a footballing carrier to become a coach...??
@Pro7soccer3 жыл бұрын
No not at all. Many top coaches had no or very limited playing careers. Arrigo Sacchi didn't play professionally and won many titles with AC Milan. Maurizio Sarri, formerly manager of Napoli, Chelsea and Juventus didn't play professionally. It helps if you have been a player but it isn't essential and having been a professional player doesn't guarantee that you will be a great coach

@Pro7soccer3 жыл бұрын
You're right, it isn't. The roles do change in actual game play depending on the movement of the opposition however, as a very basic introduction it gets the main points across. There is always more to learn and as you add more players, the game gets more complex.

Coach... What is the difference between fullback and wingback ...
@Pro7soccer3 жыл бұрын
The difference use to be quite clear based on the formation that a team were playing. With a GK-3-5-2 the two widest players in the 5 tended to be known as wing backs because they attacked and defended the flank areas and in a traditional GK-4-4-2 for example, the two wide players in the defensive back 4 were known as full backs because they only really had defensive responsibilities. However, nowadays, full backs are incredibly attacking and play much more like old-school wing backs. It also depends upon how a coach deploys the full back. Liverpool play with overlapping full backs who could be described as wingers. Man City sometimes play with inverted full backs that end up becoming Holding or Defensive midfielders. Positions are much more fluid in modern day football and there is much more focus on the coach's philosophy of play and the roles and responsibilities that are given to each player. You could have two teams face each other with identical formations on paper that actually play completely different game models. I've recently added some videos that look at Understanding Game Models and Developing Game Models. These are all in the same playlist. They might help with your query. Hope this has helped.

@@Pro7soccer thank you coach...now I understand clearly... I asked this because...I used to play as a wingback...a one who hunger for goals and assist...but the problem is that I am defensively very poor... lacking pace... So I was thinking about changing position .. to centre forward... Do you think that it's a wise decision from me ..??? coach..??
@Pro7soccer3 жыл бұрын
@@AMAL_vijayan it's very difficult to say where you should play without having see you play. It's try that wider players tend to need to be faster as there is more space in wide areas than in central areas so maybe a central position would suit you better but as I say, impossible to be sure having never seen you play. Sorry.

A very clear, concise presentation and excellent cues as well for defenders to remember and use when in a back 4. Thank you Quick question: what are distances (roughly) between each defender? 1st defender pressing, distance the 2nd defender needs to be when covering. As well as the 3rd and 4th defenders providing the balance? Thank you
@Pro7soccer3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jack, I'm really sorry for the delay in replying. I hadn't realised you had commented and asked a question. The distances will of course vary depending upon the age of player and the size of pitch they are playing on. For a full size adult game you would expect a compact Back 4 to be approximately 10 m apart. This will change depending upon the movement of the opposition obviously but if you take the standard width of a penalty are which is just over 40m (44 yards), then the four players should be within that (if the ball is central). If the ball goes out wide, the Back four keep that approximate distance but move over to the side the ball is on as a unit - remembering that the second centre back shouldn't go much further than the front post and the opposite full back not much more across than the far post of the goal. As I've said though, it depends upon the movement of the opposition and the defenders willl need to react to that. If a centre back gets drawn out of a central position to defend wide, a midfielder should drop in to cover them. I hope that helps! I'm going to release some more vides soon. It would be great to get your feedback on those. Cheers Aaron

Excellent analysis 👍it shows Klopp clear idea of having players play to there strengths and mixed with incredible work rate. A big part is also Liverpool have a fear factor and teams set up to try not to concede and are very concerned with Liverpool counter attacks that allows them to be more aggressive in attack and push players further up , this in fairness was earned and not just given due to how clinical Liverpool are in possession and in front of goal. Klopp has put an excellent team together from back to front.
@Pro7soccer4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Billy. You make a good point about teams sitting deep to try and negate the counter attack from Liverpool. It requires even better movement and inter-change of positions from the Liverpool players to create space and scoring opportunities. Thanks again and please continue to provide your feedback. I hope to have another video ready soon.
