Well done, glad you enjoyed this! I'm fit more of the majority, unfortunately. I don't have the patience to play through this to unlock all the skills and make it somewhat more playable, and it just crushes my soul! I think there are way better Sonic games than this. However, I do also respect it in a few aspects, such as the music, story, and aesthetic, and some parts of the game are relatively fun for me. But as an overall package, no. The mandatory tutorial is also really long, and the missions are boring. Even the cutscenes and menu style I find really unappealing. I think Sonic 06 is much better than this.

I'd guess the slow current traveling is intentional to give the novice player some time to go explore previous islands now that flowers open up. But I agree..not my favorite. I love the game though!

7:02 same!! I keep hearing about the long dialogue, and I don’t really notice. Especially for a first play through when this is all new. It drags on every *once* in a while, but we gain control again like 30 seconds later. And even then, I’m finding most of the dialogue at least amusing, I’ve had a fun time so far.

I think the reason they didn't change things for Sonic that you liked about Shadow, is because the 'Sonic Generations' portion is a re-release of the original Sonic Generations game. They likely just upped the graphics a bit, and then added on the Shadow game.

great video! however (here is where I sound like a nerd), here at 5:06 when you say you do not get stickers in your inventory, they 100% do, what you collected was an object, which are different than stickers, they are only usable in creative levels I believe and nothing else. the sticker for the car is somewhere else (earlier or later in the game I do not remember). it also says around the circle of the item what exactly you got, which could be an accessory for your avatar/skin, stickers, objects, music, materials, and maybe a few more (again I do not exactly remember). hope this helps a little bit!

I like this game, a lot. Like, it gave me 170 plus hours of fun for 100%.

It still baffles me how the first game got a remaster for the 3ds instead of the switch, but then the second one got a remaster for the switch, basically leaving the first one behind. They completely blue balled us from having the entire series on one console. Not to mention the fact the switch was already out by the time the 3ds version came out. Why???? I will never forgive this horrific sin against mankind.

6:04 since bowsers called koopa in japan, they switched marios voice line so that people wouldnt get confused about what he was saying. another fun fact about the switch port, all of the changes like the textures and the translated text are patched in while your playing the game, so if you rip the rom and play it in an emulator, its literally just the vanilla shindou version

Once you unlock the 3 star clubs you can make multiple curves and it makes the game a lot different most people just play with the standard clubs and don’t get the full experience I love this game. I love all the Mario golf games. This one is does make it easier for children but is still enjoyable
