The smaller, "throw away" pieces of paper could make book marks... you could add a free book mark as a bonus gift in each order? Or just sell them? Or a gift for Patreon subscribers? Use a warmish clothes iron to straighten the paper, no steam. Put under a weight (I use an old book) to cool and dry straight. 💕🌞🌵😷

I love these videos: as someone starting out in lino I appreciate the detail, the close-ups, following the entire process - such a good learning experience! Thank you.

How do you remove the glue after carving, or do you just leave it on and ink over it?
@MaaritHanninen2 ай бұрын
I remove it with rubbing alcohol
@wiktoriatluvi2 ай бұрын
Woah, so the PVA glue can be used ti transfer the project print? In our uni class we only used chemicals, like nitro or acetone or some people chose this animal fat method :')) and we used laser (toner) prints of course..... Your method sounds and looks quite a lot nicer, especially to do at home ✨ :oo

Great 😊 on what kind of paper did you print your design?

Does it have to be wood glue or can I use Mod Podge???
@MaaritHanninen2 ай бұрын
You can use mod podge too but I find that it flakes more than pva glue so the cuts will be more unclear
@janelleguyatt92 ай бұрын
Do you have any tips on getting the image to stick to the sticker release paper I’ve tired with the laser printer but almost nothing shows up on the glossy sticker paper backing ! 😅

Try switching the settings to black and white printing

Hii, im carving for the first time, what can i do if i accidentally carve something i wasnt supposed to
@MaaritHanninen2 ай бұрын
You could try to glue the piece back in with pva glue but usually I just end up modifying the design. You can also replace the part with a new piece of lino like shown here kzbin.info/www/bejne/rmmwlKyKhp2lsLcsi=Au2Yu148Z128-jaz

Doesn't the glue make it tougher to carve?
@MaaritHanninen2 ай бұрын
Not really. It's such a thin layer and not very hard glue anywa. These tools are very sharp

I like the ones from Pfeil. Their C set has a good range of different sizes and shapes so you can work on small details and clear out large areas

Hi, first of all I love your work, it's amazing!!!! But I have a question, why do you wet your paper before printing?
@MaaritHanninen3 ай бұрын
It's not always necessary but makes it sometimes easier to print on heavy or textured papers
@AshleyMolesworth-k1f4 ай бұрын
Hi!! I have been wondering why you roll out your beater on that textured surface/what it is?? I can’t find any info about that online

Your work is amazing. I wanted to ask one thing, did you sketch this image or did you create it using digital techniques. And if digitally, could you please share your process ?

I drew it by hand, then scanned. I also sketch digitally with a Samsung tablet and Sketchbook app
