I'm kinda curious, did you delete my comment about SAFETY? You are a new bowhunter and I made a comment that all new bow hunters and archers should hear. Shooting your bow in a back yard with homes all around you is dangerous. Any equipment malfunction (string breaks, release breaks etc.) will send an arrow flying off in any direction down range.

The UV scope housing definitely has a cool design, but the fibers are encased in a thick tinted cover. This dark covering obstructs light transmission, requiring you to turn on the light to see the pins in nearly all conditions. Seeing the pins at dawn, dusk, or under trees without the light is impossible. My unit is brand new and back in the box, and I'm selling it at a low price. Let me know if you're interested.

Yes, you wasted your money. I don’t understand why the archery industry creates scope housings that try to resemble rifle scopes. Looking through an elongated tube to see your sight pins makes no sense at all. Long scope housings cause all kinds of problems, like making it harder to see your pins without adding more fiber and battery powered lights. In addition, the housing does not line up with your peep sight at full draw. Option archery sights make the most sense with their sight pins protected by a relatively narrow metal ring.
@James.712
@James.712 3 ай бұрын
Running the dovetail in and out and getting a high quality peep with aperture sizes that you can swap out negate everything you just said. Make your equipment work for you and not you changing your form to the equipment. Unfortunately whether you like it or not, that comes at a cost.
@jimmiekaelin4804
@jimmiekaelin4804 3 ай бұрын
@@James.712 A toilet paper like tube with sight pins on the other end looks cool but serves no purpose. It only creates problems. The purpose of a long tubes on sighting equipment is for housing a series of magnifying lens like rifle scopes and binoculars.

There's a reason why most use black gold, spot hogg, and hha, the pins are super bright. The uv is a clean sight, but the heads are too dark and tunnel like for the woods in my opinion. That pse looks awesome by the way. Good luck this year.

@@markkobza8129 UV sight housings and pins just don’t work for me. The pins are extremely difficult to see in low light conditions and under in broad daylight under tree cover. Trust me, you don’t want this sight on your bow where battery powered lights are not allowed.

I just can’t get into the UV sight/ scope. I’ve looked at them on some bows and they aren’t aesthetically appealing to me. Plus the price. I also prefer a rheostat light versus one brightness option. Guess I’m too used to my old CBE 3 pin slider. My friend has a new one like yours and can’t night hunt pigs with it because it’s too bright. Of course, it wasn’t designed to be used at 12am, lol. Hi Travis, a question regarding the bass you caught in the video do you have to release them back in the lake or was it undersized by regulation. I noticed it bleeding from the gills which is about as equivalent to a heart shot on a whitetail deer in regards to it surviving. Btw not criticising just interested mate.
@TheNewBowunter
@TheNewBowunter 3 ай бұрын
@@BevanWilliamsNZ Yes…the next shot was my brother releasing him. We only catch and release…. He was bleeding because he was hooked much deeper in the mouth than normal because he had the bait for a long time and was trying to swallow it.
