Erbauer are expensive Chinese made tools. They are rubbish! Screwfix do not publish negative previews on their website. They pulled my review on the erbauer tool

This is a great wee guide, thanks for posting. Thanks for the advice on finding studs. May I ask, how would you construct airing shelves when only a side and back wall could be battened? At 90 degrees to one another? I am considering adding a long piece from floor to ceiling on the outside corner to add strength. But it seems to get in the way of access.

Hi Great unboxing review. I have the same saw, but unfortunately I have misplaced the manual and I need to change the blade. Do you know or could some advise where the locking button is to prevent the blade from spinning to allow the retaining bolt to be loosened
@owenjones7620 Жыл бұрын
Maybe I got unlucky, mine lasted 5 months, inner bearing gave way behind blade and collapsed in the middle of Use, hope you get better results than I did, i can't see me making the same mistake twice , ended up buying wickes own brand to finish off the job , absolute tank of a saw, 👌

Ive just bought this and i feel so silly to ask, but how does the screw bit fit into the drill???

The black collar pulls out. Put the bit in and let the collar go. It then grips the bit.

I have bought one these saws and like you had a lot of plywood sheets to cut. Biggest let down was the dust, could not find a extraction adaptor to connect to my shop vacuum. Its the oval exit which makes awkward. Macillaster don't make one to fit. I rang them was told to search the Internet.
@masontoolswood2278 Жыл бұрын
Yeh it’s a difficult one! I used one that had to be connected with some duct tape

Same here. Why did make the dust exit in this awkward shape? Can't recommend the saw because of this problem.

If the drill is 7mm through the batten to the wall, the why doesn’t the 6mm screw be loose and go straight through the batten to the wall?

Hi, I’m about to attempt this. What did you use for (a) supporting the slats - I’m using a 18mm thick wood, would a 25mm long screw do the job or should I look for 30mm? (b) screwing the battens into the stud - I’ve got some timber construction screws 4in long. Think they’ll do the job? (c) nails to hold the slats onto the battens Thanks.

Yes you are pronouncing it properly, I got the sds, drill, impact & the angle grinder, I intend to extend it to the jigsaw & multi tool as well, I'm impressed with them so far after about 12 months of use, I am a handyman that has never suffered with tool envy & go on jobsites often, I get the usual.... "what crap are you using,you can't beat dewalt"..... but the dewalt & makita faithful have a different opinion after trying them! The only issue I have with the drills is the fwd-rev switch is in the wrong place, I easily knock it with my finger when gripping to press the trigger! Buying tip, always check between B&Q an screwfix because eg...they will be cheaper at one 1 week an cheaper at the other the week later!

Do you think you could apply the same format to a wardrobe with no holes for shelves?

Is the wardrobe built in or free standing?
@thisisalesha_2 жыл бұрын
@@masontoolswood2278 its free standing.
@masontoolswood22782 жыл бұрын
You could do that just make sure the screws don’t come though the outside of the wardrobe!
@dooovde2 жыл бұрын
@@thisisalesha_ You could simply glue supporting wood pieces to the corners of the wardrobe (placed vertically, resting on the floor of the unit) and rest the shelves on these. For the second shelf, just place supporting wood pieces on top of the first shelf, and so on. If all you're storing in the wardrobe is clothes and items weighing less than 20KG then this should work fine.

It's a little Beast ! I have mine coming up to a year now, has never hesitated with any task. Building a shed atm, going through 7cm, 8cm screws no problem. It undone the lugnuts on the car too but probably would be abusing the drill, but would undo most small to medium nuts and bolts on an engine. Covers all DIY needs and i bet it would stand up professionally too.
@lukecanning70132 жыл бұрын
I got the same kit the guy has; I already have Makita and Milwaukee impacterss and the difference is small. I'd prefer using Makita impacter. I find that with erbauer, you have to put your back into it along with your wrists, more so then with Makita, e.g when doing plasterboarding or decking. It's fine doing 100mm screws,
@warrenthorne64202 жыл бұрын
@@lukecanning7013 id say the erbauer inpact is more for the diy person in his shed or garage building little things but i have one. but i was debating on getting makita one
@lukecanning70132 жыл бұрын
@@warrenthorne6420 True, I've used it the past few weeks, and I've grown use to it. On my jobs, screwguns would be used fairly often, for decking, plasterboarding and driving 4 inch screws. Picked up the Erbauer SDS and I can't fault it yet. Drills 8x210 holes fairly quick for blockwork, wouldn't use it for concrete, I'd stick to electric until such a time I don't give a fuck about the drill; and electric for screwing into RSJs (because I ain't have an impact wrench); The chisel mode on the Erbauer SDS is handy, I got SDS plus chisels. What gear would you have?
