Brilliant review!!! Thank you for explaining the difference between a plunge saw, circular saw and a track saw. As a novice DIYer I have been using a jigsaw and needed something that gives me a straighter cut, I wasn’t sure which would be best so the explanation is really useful. Thanks again

Maybe I got unlucky, mine lasted 5 months, inner bearing gave way behind blade and collapsed in the middle of Use, hope you get better results than I did, i can't see me making the same mistake twice , ended up buying wickes own brand to finish off the job , absolute tank of a saw, 👌

I have recently bought one of these and find the depth adjustment to be quite difficult to set accurately. Is it just me or is it just a bit of a clumsy design?

Yeh it’s a bit clumsy!.. down side of a cheaper tool is less control in the mechanism for adjusting things. Thanks for watching!

I have bought one these saws and like you had a lot of plywood sheets to cut. Biggest let down was the dust, could not find a extraction adaptor to connect to my shop vacuum. Its the oval exit which makes awkward. Macillaster don't make one to fit. I rang them was told to search the Internet.

Yeh it’s a difficult one! I used one that had to be connected with some duct tape

Got one today but I can't get to grips with the straight edge guide. The thickness of my board means it goes in the spacing between the rule and the edge itself. Any tips on what I might be doing wrong?

Hi Great unboxing review. I have the same saw, but unfortunately I have misplaced the manual and I need to change the blade. Do you know or could some advise where the locking button is to prevent the blade from spinning to allow the retaining bolt to be loosened

Yes. However make sure you have a straight edge to run it against. Don’t free hand it!

If you never got an answer (and for other people who might have the same question) it's a 165mm diameter blade with a 16mm bore hole.
