4" NETAMI tips from Amazon (2.25" inlet, 8" long). I did have to spray paint over the name etched on the top. Also, stock out of muffler are 2" so a 2-2.25" step up pipe is needed.

This imo is the best setup for the ST. Not too loud but has the deep growl that isn’t raspy like the other cat-backs. Less is more.

I eventually got rid of the Gibson. Was getting humming noise with part throttle on highway (drone?). Went with stock mufflers and MRT H-pipe. I like it.

@@mishmosh2000 similar sound to Gibson? I just hate the fake the exhaust tips on these. Also, I have a Gibson axle back on my ‘14 n/a V6. It does have a slight drone on the highway but it doesn’t bother me a whole lot.

@@msokes9It's like "stock plus" adding deeper tones to the stock sound but absolutely no drone or offensive sounds. Some say it is not loud enough though. Also, i cut off the stock tips and added 4" black tips with clamps. Looks way better than the gibson tips which have alignment issues. My Gibson mufflers might be an outlier as no one else reports higher pitch humming.

update: removed the Gibson. Was getting higher pitched humming type exhaust sound with any amount of throttle. Annoying! ended up stock mufflers, 4" black tips, MRT h pipe. Slightly more sound than stock but quiet on the highway.

i did not paint. there's already some surface rust. i have slight drone at 2000-2500 rpm

Thank you for sharing. Feedback on the music--it made me feel anxious while watching the video. Might be better to match a calm video with calm music. I hope that helps.

Did this install just last night without the lip and it turned out perfect. Although I used a couple of layers of a super thick double sided tape for the slope at the front of the splitter to fortify the assembly.

I know this is an old video. Was the part you cut made of metal or plastic? I would want to cut it out a bit more than you did and put some rubber on it for padding out but what to get an idea of the effort involved first

it is made of plastic so you don't need the line it with anything. that said the tube is close to a metal edge as it passes through that area and i would definitely cut a piece of rubber hose and put it over that metal edge.

Great video cheers! If you don't have a Dremel using a small drill bit will do the job. Just drill multiple holes then pass the drill around to expand the gap till it's wide enough for the clips. I tried M8 20mm bolts to fix underneath, they aren't really needed and found zip ties to be more forgiving and offer a tight bond.

Thanks so much for this. My grandpa grew up outside of Columbus, and later in life suffered from dementia. This was the last game we watched together when he knew the whole team, knew the situation, and we were able to follow it together without me having to explain everything. It's bittersweet, but I still love it. Thank you.
