This imo is the best setup for the ST. Not too loud but has the deep growl that isn’t raspy like the other cat-backs. Less is more.

I eventually got rid of the Gibson. Was getting humming noise with part throttle on highway (drone?). Went with stock mufflers and MRT H-pipe. I like it.

@@mishmosh2000 similar sound to Gibson? I just hate the fake the exhaust tips on these. Also, I have a Gibson axle back on my ‘14 n/a V6. It does have a slight drone on the highway but it doesn’t bother me a whole lot.

@@msokes9It's like "stock plus" adding deeper tones to the stock sound but absolutely no drone or offensive sounds. Some say it is not loud enough though. Also, i cut off the stock tips and added 4" black tips with clamps. Looks way better than the gibson tips which have alignment issues. My Gibson mufflers might be an outlier as no one else reports higher pitch humming.

I'm debating if I should get the Gibson or MBRP Axel back for my 2022 Explorer ST. They both sound so good. How's the Gibson holding up so far?

Did you paint the cans? Any highway drone?

i did not paint. there's already some surface rust. i have slight drone at 2000-2500 rpm
