Hey bro , Its me again haha , Ive spoken to you a few times on here now and reddit i think , did you manage to get your oled updated to fw 0.14 ? Mines all updated now and im useing it with a ps5 pro also , currently playing black ops 6 and my questions for you are… what settings are you using on the oled with HDR ? I have had to clip my oled calibration clicks within the ps5 way past what it wants to get it to a brightness level im happy with ( in a dark room also ) , I love the monitor dont get me wrong but i just find the lack of brightness settings while using HDR kinda crazy , any input would be appreciated 😊

Thx for catching the reply. I covered some of my thoughts in this playthrough.. but yes the update went smooth! Yes OLED monitors def not as bright as OLED TVs, like my 48” LG B4 $599, but this 32” OLED display is sharper, & smoother! My son (who uses the LG TV in his room) always comments how clean the monitor looks when he walks in to my desk setup. Another note is the whites seem more warm & I can’t change the hue to a more bluewish white without losing brightness. Research says that warmer whites are more colors accurate white, but coming from a super bright LG Ultragear LCD I had to get used to the diff… but after 1 month I’m loving it.

Yes make sure you go past what Sony suggest in HDR setup, & thats actually the recommend way to get these dimmer monitors to look best. I’m always in HDR, so my settings are user 1 & user 1 & using “True Black 400” instead of peak 1000. Also image enhancement on “weak”…👍🏽

Watching this again for the 60th time to make sure I did it right. Can you do a in depth tutorial on how you got this to work seamlessly this way? I’m trying to do the same thing. I’m using line in and realize you can control the mic through the dac in the line in settings once you output to stream and not speakers. A full video would save a lot of lives bro

Make sure to pay attention to the read/write speed of the M.2 SSD you're buying. It will not work as intended if it doesn't fall within certain specifications.

Thanks for the video. Our switch was doing the same thing and reseating the plug solved the problem. Only thing was there was a 5th screw underneath the kickstand that had to be removed to get the case off (in addition to the one holding the sd card reader in place).

Ordered a $20 kit with the screwdrivers from Amazon, took off the back and popped it back in and worked perfectly after!!

First try “resitting” the card reader.. I mentioned this in the video… try that before spending the $10 for the new reader chip.

@@Jaystpatrick do you have any other mixers or interfaces? i just set my output device in windows to the steelseries and the input to the wave link software for the wave xlr and mute the headset mic, you will have to go into things like discord too and set the mic input and chat output to the same devices as the default device. i run a beacn mix create as a mixer so i can adjust volumes, wave xlr controls mic gain, and the steelseries game dac only controls headset volume and it works pretty good

Do you know what the issue is if it only cannot read the sd card sometimes, when I’m playing for a while it will disconnect me due to the same error but it doesn’t happen constantly

@ambermcna5552 try a new card, that fixed my issue first... but the card reader itself eventually died a few months later, that is why I ended up opening it and making this video. I'll be streaming in a few moments if you have more questions or thoughts
