Didn't understand the last part. The électrons are circulating from - to +, so they are going TO the anod, how is this protecting your métal?

nice, so basically the cathodic protection consist on sacrifizing another more active metal(metal2). This more active metal may be connected to metal1 by a wire so that when metal2 corrodes(anode), the other is reduced. We can also put a circuit and generate electrons thhrough it going to the metal1 and so causing it to reduce

In 99.9999 metals any site will behave as anode as well as cathode. Corrosion of 6S aluminium.
