This is combo from Ernesto Hoost. His favourite stuff, the road to a badass lowkick.

Should’ve tossed i the reverse back elbow. That one catches most fighters off guard bc it’s so unexpected.

If you're striking with the ball of the foot, then imo it doesn't matter whether the foot is angled or straight, the surface area is the same

I've never seen this technique in Muay Thai fights or training. Which major MT fighter uses it?
@senseiyang8 ай бұрын
A lot of thai fighters actually use it against westerners. Lerdsilla often uses this technique

@@ORIGINOLINDIVIDUAL yup, he mainly competes in kickboxing matches now, but during his prime, he's competed at the highest levels in Muay Thai! He's such a beast!

What scenario would this be used for? It would have been helpful to understand the times one would use the skip step kick
@clapdrix7211 ай бұрын
To close the distance, or even intercept an opponent who is moving forward to close the distance.

Never seen this before in Muay Thai. Is this move from Karate? Tae kwan do?
@bobok22788 ай бұрын
Its in both Karate and Taekwondo but youll see it used and taught more in Taekwondo
@senseiyang8 ай бұрын
A lot of thais actually use this technique. Buakaw has used it a lot of times against a lot of opponents, sanchai does as well. Lerdsilla is probably one of the best muay thai fighters that uses this technique
