I love to rewatch their various performances of Moulin Rouge because you always get to notice something new. Like in this one at 1:38 when Scott slightly kisses Tessa's cheek (not even a part of the program) or at 4:25 when he winks at her, these little details are what makes them so special to me.

WOW! GREAT EXHIBITION. The spectator doesn't even react to be able to observe all the details with great delight in this extraordinary performance by Scott Moir and Tessa Virtue. Scott and Tessa danced in perfect harmony of movement with each other. And, it's charming to see Scott's smile of happiness and joy at the end of his performance, expressing his great satisfaction with their excellent performance. And, Scott had all the reason to feel very happy and professionally fulfilled. Congratulations Scott , you seem to be a wonderful person, full of professional and personal qualities , whether you're on or off the ice. I'm very sorry to say, but from some of the statements made by Tessa in recent interviews, after she and Scott retired from ice dancing, it regrettably appears that the same character compliments cannot be given to Tessa. Tessa, who when she had a partnership with Scott, made statements of great satisfaction with the successes she had with Scott, greatly highlighting the excellent relationship that existed between her and Scott, now that the partnership is over, Tessa appears with a very different speech, even sometimes showing a distant and cold air, very rational, towards Scott. In fact, in a 2023 joined interview with Scott , while Scott praised the purity and wonder of their participation in the 2010 Olympic Games, despite some complicated moments in their relationship, Tessa only spoke of negative aspects, of the pain she suffered, but the worst of all was saying that if she had been good at ice dancing, she would also be good at another activity. My God, what a super-ego has Tessa , in a negative sense, and what a lack of recognition from Tessa for all the good that her long partnership with Scott brought to her life, both probably at an economic level, and certainly at the level of great professional notoriety, which will certainly bring her great added value for your future professional life.

Wow. Excellent exhibition from the beginning until the end. Extremely elegant and very clean movements, made in total synchronization with the different moments of the music. Madison Hubbell and Zachary Donohue had a performance that could be described as one of the best among the best.

In her memoir, Gracie reflects explains what it feels like to end a disappointing performance: “Imagine: You’ve just fucked up royally. Your worst nightmare has come to pass. But instead of disappearing behind a thunderhead of shame, you now have to stand at center ice and curtsy to the judges who are marking you down…to the crowd who has just witnessed your biggest failure…to the folks at home who gasped and then grabbed a handful of mixed nuts while you, after starving yourself for two years, hit the ice so hard that you’ll have a bruise in the morning. There you are, mouthing the words ‘Thank you’ ”

Gracie on being a coach and preventing her students from a paralyzing fear of failure: “I’m a pretty good teacher. But you know who’s the best teacher? Failure…If we’re so afraid of failure that we don’t try, how will we ever improve as skaters and grow as people? I’ve fallen a hundred thousand times in my skating career…so when a student describes themselves as ‘garbage’ after falling twice, [I respond] ‘What does that make me? The city dump?’ I don’t know when, where, or why, but falling has gotten a bad rap…I tell my students that the real failure occurs when they’re so afraid to mess up that they don’t make an effort.” (from her memoir)
