It’s illegal but there’s no emissions testing anymore and most cops are too stupid to tell the difference now. As long as it’s not insanely loud you’ll be fine.

When you spend $1000+ on your wheel, you are going to want keep your weaty hands off or ruin the wheels apolstry. Sounds silly. But I don't like the wear on rubber so I take care of mine.

Sim hound gloves are $40. For $40 you can keep your wheel nice and the upholstery in good condition for years. But the oil and sweat on your hands for 90+ minutes is wearing it down session by session.

@@Yopajay can confirm, spent 1,000$ on a fanatec wheel. Got the replica BMW GT2 wheel wrapped in Italian alacantra and thought that I wouldn't sweat enough or use it enough to cause it to get all matted and gross. So I didn't buy gloves....despite knowing alacantra wheels are made specifically to be used with gloves for better grip and so sweat won't destroy the alacantra thus destroying the grip. Knowing that, I still decided to not get gloves, just using the wheel 1-2 hours a day for 4-5 days a week....that was enough to matte my alacantra and make it gross, all within 1 month. So yeah, you guys can give people crap for wearing gloves all you want, just like I did.....before I learned my lesson the hard way. It won't change the fact these wheels are replicas of the real thing, so it only makes sense you need to use gloves like a real racer to keep your wheel nice.

How does it sound in the BRZ. Is it really loud or does it have any drone

@@kj8632 with a stock exhaust it’s not loud and there’s zero drone. It just sounds burbley and more like a performance car.

Stock front pipe. The header comes with a new over pipe. Removing the stock over pipe is annoying due to the size with the heat shielding but other than that, yes simple swap

there is still a cat in the front pipe. it isn't a full decat when you go with a catless UEL!

I ended up going with a catted UEL, and while the OFT stage2 tune gave me noticeable gains (according to the butt dyno), it didn't _sound_ UEL which is really why I got it. Not sure what I did wrong. Anyway I traded the car for a '20 STI in September so 🤷🏻‍♂️ _WR Blue finally_

@@moke37 hello I have a question: the power gain comes even with only the UEL? I currently have Cobra catless front pipe and Cobra resonated cat back, but since I don’t want to be too obnoxious, if the performance improve even so I would be happy

@@HandlewithcareVibes the UEL header provides the most power gain. A catback won’t do anything and a car less front pipe would be very little gains

With just the headers it’s perfect for daily driving. Much better tone and you can tell there’s a little bit more there if you really step on it. That’s exactly why I haven’t done a cat back. I find they typically sound way too loud. If I want a little bit more noise I may look at a magna flow or Perrin cat back as they are fairly quiet

@@moke37 if you do plan on getting a Perrin or magnaflow, would you be able to make another comparison video like this? Thinking of doing a similar setup. Been really leaning towards the magnaflow but eventually want some sort of header but noise levels are a definite concern. Thanks!

@@moke37 How much more power are you making with it? I assume you got it tuned from Touge Tuning? What is the power diff like at the torque dip? About how much did it cost for the Header+Tune from Touge?

@@elishafernandes8921 I’m actually only use an OFT currently and don’t know how much power I’m making. Got a good deal on one so I’m using it for now. A tune from Touge Tuning is $580+ tax for FR-S/BRZ, and the headers were around $870 +tax

I’m not planning on putting a cat back on. Cops in my area are incredibly strict on muffler modifications and it’s just a headache. Plus I think the car sounds great as is. I also think IAG may have discontinued this header already due to the emissions rules with aftermarket exhausts getting strict in the states
