Have been looking for a video like this! Great to see another fellow Ontarian with this setup! The BRZ will most likely be my first new-to-me car and I want to get some UEL headers. Tested 2 with them already installed but they were paired with aftermarket exhausts and are just excessively loud. How do you find the car with this current setup for a daily?

With just the headers it’s perfect for daily driving. Much better tone and you can tell there’s a little bit more there if you really step on it. That’s exactly why I haven’t done a cat back. I find they typically sound way too loud. If I want a little bit more noise I may look at a magna flow or Perrin cat back as they are fairly quiet

Sounds so damn good! If only I didn't have to worry about being catted... Sweet car though. Super wanted a WR Blur BRZ, but Toyota offered 0% financing on an FR-S so that was it. Not that I'm unhappy with my Oceanic!

there is still a cat in the front pipe. it isn't a full decat when you go with a catless UEL!

I ended up going with a catted UEL, and while the OFT stage2 tune gave me noticeable gains (according to the butt dyno), it didn't _sound_ UEL which is really why I got it. Not sure what I did wrong. Anyway I traded the car for a '20 STI in September so 🤷🏻‍♂️ _WR Blue finally_

I’m not planning on putting a cat back on. Cops in my area are incredibly strict on muffler modifications and it’s just a headache. Plus I think the car sounds great as is. I also think IAG may have discontinued this header already due to the emissions rules with aftermarket exhausts getting strict in the states

This product never seemed to make it to market from iAG, I may be one of a handful of people with one. I purchased it from Touge Tuning, they can help you out with finding a similar UEL

It’s illegal but there’s no emissions testing anymore and most cops are too stupid to tell the difference now. As long as it’s not insanely loud you’ll be fine.

@@moke37 How much more power are you making with it? I assume you got it tuned from Touge Tuning? What is the power diff like at the torque dip? About how much did it cost for the Header+Tune from Touge?

@@elishafernandes8921 I’m actually only use an OFT currently and don’t know how much power I’m making. Got a good deal on one so I’m using it for now. A tune from Touge Tuning is $580+ tax for FR-S/BRZ, and the headers were around $870 +tax

Stock front pipe. The header comes with a new over pipe. Removing the stock over pipe is annoying due to the size with the heat shielding but other than that, yes simple swap

@@moke37 hello I have a question: the power gain comes even with only the UEL? I currently have Cobra catless front pipe and Cobra resonated cat back, but since I don’t want to be too obnoxious, if the performance improve even so I would be happy

@@HandlewithcareVibes the UEL header provides the most power gain. A catback won’t do anything and a car less front pipe would be very little gains

This may sound funny but I want a 2nd car and I am between a 2015 Camry XSE V6 and a 2016 Subaru BRZ, the BRZ looks good and it’s actually a 2 door sport car and the most important thing, it’s RWD, but the Camry’s V6 sounds better and it’s way faster than the BRZ 😅, and probably more reliable and have more space, so I’m like this 🤯 right now, and I’m in Canadá so a lot of snow in winter and I don’t know which one is worse for the snow RWD or FWD 😅
